    so if someone can clear up some confusion for me please..is it a controller or is it a console. They call it a remote and then a console..is it a remote for the wii? or is it something brand new? and if it is a remote for the wii how does the hardware from the U transfer to the wii to make games hd and better graphics.

    Please and thank you!!! =)

    At this point nothing nintendo has excites me, I remember three long years of snubbing all the hardcore gamers and floating on third party titles like No More Heroes. I like metroid and mario and zelda I grew up with them but for the longest time Nintendo not only ignored but condemned anyone with their own source of income to make what they call the system that expanded the gaming..

    really I can't even finish that sentence just because you bought a wii for a free game does not mean you are going to ever use the bloody thing. Nintendo needs to get off of their high horse and realize that they do need to provide both console and games. Nothing on the 3ds looks even appealing because its just a retread, I love luigi's mansion but on the 3ds.. no wii title that's just nonsense.

    As far as the PS3 and Vita do this and Wii U do that, The Wii U is more connected to the home that much is true but at the same time you're comparing apples and oranges. The vita is a portable console meant to take your game out on the bus or some nonsense, the Wii U can barely make it past the sofa I'd wager. Impressive idea, but my concern is how they're going to snub the 'gamers' as they call them and favor the quick buck grannies and five-twelve demographic. {See the [free] Pokedex 3d] Honestly -.-}

    If Nintendo can pick up their crap and start putting out the titles they were known for instead of giving the same experience I had when I was a child, they might get some of their trust back, but my point in the whole thing is they don't need me, my trust, or my admiration they need my money, yours too. Don't early adopt wait until they start putting out something worth playing if you love those old games so much, emulate them for free on your pc and show nintendo NO MORE WILL WII TOLERATE U

    I can't believe it, Nintendo FINALLY gets it, and they brought goodies to the party too! Now if only they'd lose the "Wii" name in Wii U they'd really make an impact. For so many classic/hardcore gamers Wii has such a negative connotation. This new console (which they were smart not to show or reveal specs on) and the controller look great, the graphics look great, the online and HD sound great, but the name really bites. Oh, can we get Mii's upgraded? Avatars make them look like dinosaurs. We also need some more titles, but announcements for those should come before launch.

    Someone should tell them that both English and Japanese being spoken at the same time is kinda annoying lol. I would have preferred an extra 30 mins while giving them both each their own speaking time, but idk, maybe its just me, not like i have better things to do ;P

    I think Nintendo really needs to give up on the home console market and go full force strictly with it's handhelds. This new controller looks like it would make a great handheld all on it's own without being teathered to a console.

    That said, no matter how cool the potential of this new system is, it will just end up as a gimmic like the Wii did. Developers will try to develop for it, find that it is to much work for to little proffit and just end up stucking the HuD on it and not doing anything else and the only dev to actually put it to any use will be Nintendo's in house devs.

    I see the system selling ok and then a big demand for another "classic" controller from the hardcore playerbase because the new one is to big, heavy and awkward to play twitch heavy games like shooters and fighters. Which is what the 3rd party devs will want to put on it because that is what sells.

    Okay G4, first the video wouldn't load because of this freaking adware bar running in the background which you plastered all over the lower half of my screen without asking me. Then, it seems as if you put the volume for the video almost at the lowest level possible so that I have to turn the volume on the player, my PC, and my speakers to 100% just to hear it. Alright, then you shove a commercial in that I can't skip which was so loud in comparison, my next door neighbors probably heard it.

    If you're gonna horde all the E3 coverage, at least TRY not to horribly offend and inconvenience us while you're doing it... I'm goin' to Youtube to go look at THEIR ads...

    I have to seriously laugh at the guy comparing the PSP's rear view mirror trick to this. First and foremost...this is a controller with a screen, not a portable console. The vita will cost you $250-$300 per unit, this piece of hardware will cost significantly less than that since it is basically an empty shell displaying what is provided to it from the actual console.

    I honestly don't understand why people see something new and interesting and derisively call it a gimmick. If people like you developed game software or hardware...we'd be living in a stagnant world of #$%@. Why don't you try being more open to everything.

    Since I can afford it, I'll have a WiiU sitting by my TV where my wii was right next to my PS3. In my laptop bag you can count on both a 3DS and a PSV. It would be a shame to miss out on any good game no matter what platform its on.

    All this can be done with a PSP and PS3 right now. Back when PSP first came out? They used a PSP as a rear view mirror for Gran Tourismo. Playing games from the PS3 to the PSP is called remote play. This is already happening. Does Nintendo really expect us to believe that they came up with this on their own? Yes, there are a few new features. The PS3 and PS Vita could more than likely do this day one. Unless they can keep the price of this console down below $300, it wont be worth the purchase. In a year or so the next Xbox and PS will be anounced and Wii U will be old, again. Stop the gimmicks! Look how bad the 3DS is doing. PSP is outselling it...

    Why are all the companies re-packaging games? So many collections and other "remastered" games. on PS3 we have a lot of old PS2 games coming to PS3. Nintendo is re-doing all of it's N64 and Gamecube games for the 3DS. Where's all the new stuff? Are there really no new ideas?
