2011 should be known as the year of the GAMER, not a certain console. I mean for the PS3 you have LBP2, infamous 2, Mass Effect 2 & 3, Resistence 3, and a new Ratchet & Clank just to name a few. For the 360 you have Gears 3 (that is all that needs to be said on that). For Nintendo you have the 3DS. 2011 should be the year where the stupid console alligences end and just praise the gaming gods for allowing us to enjoy ALL THE WONDERFUL GAMES. (on a side note I never understood why people make such a big deal about one console or another. NEWS FLASH: EVERY GAME DEVELOPER PLAYS EVERY GAME, NO MATTER WHAT CONSOLE. If the game kicks ass, give it some love. I am pissed I traded in the Wii because now I will miss out on Epic Mickey.)

I think 2011 will be great for 2 reasons. In January I do believe L.A. Noire is released! It is taking the whole motion capture technology to a new level. And the greatest game of the year, IMO, MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!! They are going back to Mature rating and 2D but in 3D! How can these two stellar titles be overlooked during soapbox? MK comes out in April and L.A. Noire in January. Tsk Tsk Adam!

Nintendo 3DS is tops on my list, but there are a lot of games i am interested in as well. I am just bummed that they are all coming out so close to each other. I am going to get back logged again and when that happens I always miss something,

I am very excited for the games coming out and especially the ones that bioware is making. ME3 and DA2 should be really good. I hope that in ME3 your choices really matter though. The choices in the first one did not make a big impact on the story. They mostly only made cameo appearances. I want to be able to have ashley or kaidan in my party or actually see the new human council. I also want your class choice to matter in the story. I know that that might be difficult to do but half the game is spent in combat and the biggest choice combat wise is your class. So why should the combat and story be so separate like that. Just my opinion though.

i think it's weird to use a 2009 game in the background to talk about 2010 and the future of 2011

Like Politician's, Release dates tend to change/flip flop often. With all the Titles Slated for release next yr, The ones to watch are L.A. Noire at the top of my wishlist, followed by Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Rage and AC3 (not counting Brotherhood), Now if someone could get Rockstar to loosen up on a demo of L.A. Noire before release, and see if there's anything to mention on a follow up of RDR. If these things were to happen, then in my humble personal opinion, The yr would be complete.

Naughty Dog has made 4 major errors with Uncharted 3 to date.

First: Drake's character should never have gotten older, from what we saw in Uncharted 2. He and all the other "Uncharted 2" characters, are all immortalized heroes and heroines living in an unreal digital time zone called eternity. There was no need or necessity to change these character images, just add a new story line, and continue on.

Secondly: From the trailers I have seen, "Naughty Dog" has not made the graphics any better than the last game. The golden rule of any series is, " you must always improve the visuals ".

Thirdly: All the enemy I have seen to date in " Uncharted 3 ", all look the same with bald heads ? That is simply dumb "Naughty Dog".

And Number Four: With an entire year to the release date, there is no excuse why "Naughty Dog" could not have made this game "Move" compatible. I'm sure I'm not alone in this thought.

Rage is what i want. Everything else is just stuff Ive already seen. Elder scrolls 5 and mass effect 3 will be cool, but I want somthing new and different like fable 2 and fallout 3 were when they came out.

Just give me Dragon Age, Deus Ex, Mass Effect 3 and ES V (that's going to be a tough battle for my free time with those two) and I'll be happy. Also, not to beat a dead horse, but I hope that HD version of Beyond Good and Evil sells relatively well. I've got a sinking feeling that release is going to be used as a gauge of interest for a sequel.

What I'm looking forward to most in 2011 is catching up on all the releases I missed in past years. I plan on getting a bunch of Gamecube and Wii games, and hopefully I won't be a miser with my money and buy a PS3 and start filling up that library.

I agree with Adam that these elite studios getting big time deals with the publishers will change things. Now every independent developer is going to go the extra mile to try to build their reputation with publishers and gamers so that EA and Activision get into a bidding war for their services. What I find funny is that this happens after Bioware sells out to EA and Blizzard merges with Activision so now they can't go after this if they wanted to. I'm sure they allowed to do basically whatever they want because they make big money at the moment but they still don't have the total freedom of a company like Bunjie/Insomniac/Respawn.

you know i really worried about how much company are showing of their game before they come out like for black ops i was not going to buy it if it did not have nazi zombies then at about the last minute they just kind of said "Oh yeah that there". That kind of really pissed me off. I have ps3 and I am intrested in infamous 2 and twisted metal and we have about know information about what the hell is going on so i am not getting to excited for them like I used to when they told about 100% about Modern warfare 2 and i got really excited about that so i hope they start telling more about games soon

I am also very excited for next year. Deus Ex, Brink, TOR, Diablo 3(hopefully).

I think the problem with games now (especially from G4's perspective) is that they are focusing too much on the console market, which is extremely limited by the console hardware. These current consoles are outdated already, and the games you see on them now have already hit their graphical/performance ceiling. There's just not much more developers can do with these current consoles.

As a PC gamer; this is detrimental because most of what WE are getting nowadays are console conversions. Along with those come poor graphics, and poor performance -- not to mention very limited gameplay and significantly smaller games.

Look beyond the consoles and you will see more innovation and better games
