Namco Bandai's Excutive Producer Kazutoki Kono is at Gamescom 2010 explaining the new gameplay mechanics for Ace Combat Assault Horizon. Find out about the new close range assault system, new camera system, and the ability to destroy buildings.

    This new Ace combat looks absolutely amazing and the close range assault is awe-inspiring.
    I'm pretty sure they will also have the standard long distance view, which will add more variety into the gameplay.
    As for the steal carnage concept, it brings more realistic physics into the game...
    It is exciting to see all the debris and spilling oil flying all over the place, which counts more points to environment interactivity.
    The interwoven gameplay cinematics also play an uttermost role in the game adding more depth and player immersion into the plot.

    You need some skyscrapers to bring down, that's demolition. A few bricks and beams doesn't do it for me. I've read it will have copters which would be a nice addition. You need long range attacks too.

    'Close Range Assault' feature looks promising - definitely needed to upgrade flight experience
    Detailed destruction of enemies - sweet
    AC6 - So that's what feels off from the rest of the franchise.
    The top gun who worked on the previous, moved on - that explains that.
