I played it and I have to it way better than a 3 out of 5 a 4 at least.

The review isn't that far off (especially when it comes to the cliche storylines), but the game is better than they give it credit for. To be honest, it doesn't seem like they spent that much time on the game anyway; they didn't even talk about the actual game very much. The robust online options and intuitive control scheme should have gotten it a 4 out of 5 at least.

Moreover, calling this a Halo or Killzone knock off makes me wonder if they even played the game at all. The Conduit is nothing like either; its actually a throw back to games like GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. I d say it was too generic before I ever said it was too much like Halo or Killzone.

Also whoever writes these reviews needs to pay more attention to what they're saying. here's a little bit of irony for you; the review opens with the following paragraph:

Note to marketing folks: using quotes referring to The Conduit as the "best shooter on Wii" isn't exactly setting the bar high. It's not too far off from saying that Guitar Hero: On Tour is "best handheld rhythm game requiring a plastic doodad" or You're in the Movies is the "best Xbox 360 game bundled with a camera." With few comparisons to draw on, things tend to look a little rosier

This from the show that has on their main page:

X-Play s Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb present television's most-watched gaming show.

Wow that s impressive considering how many gaming shows are on the air right now.

The Conduit is hardly revolutionary, but it is a dam good FPS. Way better than a 3 out of 5.

This is a dam good fps for any system. But since it's on the wii that just proves that a mediocre game with good wii controls dose make a difference. Sorry X-play I just don't agree with this review.

I play a lot of PC and Xbox 360 shooting games like Half Life 2, Counter Strike, Halo, And Left 4 Dead for example. But this is a great game. Custom controls, software enhanced graphics on the Wii, the best online yet on the Wii. Yeah the game isn't a Halo or Half Life kind of game, but my older brother made a point: "This almost seems like James Bond like Goldeneye was." The game's single player mode is much like the game Goldeneye.

The single player mode is short, but so was Halo: Combat Evolved. I went through that faster than The Conduit. The online isn't perfect, but great for Wii owners. HVS did as much as Nintendo probably could allow them.

Overall HVS has never done a game such as this before. This is a first for them, and a first for the Wii. I expect a sequel to this game with HVS understanding what was wrong. But this game is a great shooter, and I will stand by it and continue to play it's online multiplayer.

    I give it a 4 out of 5.

This is a near perfect game, its pretty fun Wii owners should get this game! HVS did a great job the game ended with a cliff hanger so it sets up for a sequeal, HVS will probley fix the past mistakes and they also have THE GRINDER coming along so I think this will get the Wii Hardcore audiance some games to play. I'd give this at least a 4 out of 5.

Any hardcore Wii owners should know its hard to find a good hardcore shooter for the Wii and this comes pretty close if not great. 1. I love the way the game looks, 2. The online look great. to me its looks like at least a 4

x-play is really losing their credibility as a review show. first re5 now this? im not saying r5 idnt hav problems, but they didnt make the game average, and the conduits flaws didnt make it any less than what the real reviewers gave it. It got an 8 from IGN. IGN!! do you know how critical they are? and then x-play comes back with this? pitiful...

they were to harsh on the campaign mode. I rather enjoyed the campaign I've played it through several times. AI isn't nearly as bad as they make it out to be. It's got a a classical golden eye and perfect dark feel to it, but i guess the retro feel is why they dissed The Conduit's campaign so much. Hey if you loved Golden Eye and perfect dark and you can appreciate a little retroness in your fps then don't listen to these guys you'll love the campaign. I've read several reviews and this seems to be the turning point that decide whether or not they like the campaign.

I don't know why my fellow Wii guys keep defending this game so much. I bought this game and I was very disappointed with it.

I think what most people are forgetting is that X-play is reviewing this as a Game. Not just a game for the Wii. And face it 5 hours of gameplay is pathetic. Thats shorter than the average school day.I know that many are excited that they have a Hardcore shooter for the Wii but this is just and average shooter.

Doens't X-Play know that this game, like all the other PS3/360 shooter they've reviewed that the game is focused on multiplayer.
