"I'm looking to get into a MMO, it's a toss up between this and Conan, mabe I'll flip a coin. I played Galaxies for 3 years but grew impatiant to the direction it was heading"

"LOTRO is a constant grind and has little to do with the fellowship of the ring, you cannot interact with them other than doing small side quests that have no bearing on things. This combined with many aspects be9ing added that never existed in the storyline may upset those lore purests among you."
Yohaun
"If you do not like constant nerfs and grinding avoid LOTRO."

"If you're a middle-earth nerd, LOTRO does not fail to deliver. I don't know what game some of these others were playing but you do directly interact with the fellowship and have some great intimate moments for the Tolkien freaks in all of us. You help Aragorn reforge Narsil in Rivendell, you help Gandalf prepare Frodo for the tough journey ahead. My class quest was learning to become a "Captain of Quality" from Boromir. You even rescue Bill the pony after he's abandoned at Hollin gate."
