Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Right now you're either waiting to eat or attempting to digest while in the fetal position. Both are perfect oppertunities to take a moment and watch this week's MMO Report. Today Casey will give you the dates for Star Trek Online's open beta, tell you about a Zombie MMO, and brings back WTF Second Life just for the holiday weekend. That's something to be thankful for.

If anyone finds Second Life to be difficult, they should check themselves into the \"I'm a Giant Moron Hospital\". I think its in Utah.

What the G4 Staff is Thankful For

Eric Eckstein, Director of Gaming Editorial -- G4tv.com

I am thankful for the rise of cooperative gaming, because without it, I would probably be writing this surrounded by my cats. I learned long ago that adversarial gaming with loved ones leads to no good and inviting friends over to watch me play Dragon Age: Origins just doesn’t have the same appeal as getting together for Halo 3: ODST.  So now, thanks to clever game developers everywhere, there’s more compelling cooperative gaming than I can shake a joystick at; what a wonderful world!

Morgan Webb, Host -- X-Play

I'm thankful January is going to be as big for games as the holiday season. May the summer drought never come!

Andrew Pfister, Senior Games Editor -- G4tv.com

After what has unequivocally been the most difficult and challenging year of my life, I am thankful that I landed in Los Angeles with a job at G4 and have had the opportunity to enrich my life with new friends. The invisible bond that forms just by sharing a hobby with someone can put you on the most interesting paths in life, and when times are less than stellar, it's those people that are there to get you through it, hang out, and throw you into Piranha Plants. Also, I am thankful for beer.

I'm thankful that G4 decided to hire someone as cool and honest as Dana Vinson. Seriously the more I read and see of this girl the more I like. (whispers) \"Call me.\"

This week, we have much to be thankful for. One thing we should all be thankful for is the fact that Adam Sessler takes the time out of his busy schedule each week to let us know what's on his mind. This week, Adam is going to respond to some of your ciricisms about the recent scoring of Assassin's Creed II and Left 4 Dead 2. Many of you pointed out that these sequels have improvements over their predicessors, but got a lower score. Press play to find out why.

Hey Adam, I think you should introduce 0.5 because some games you reviewed and gave a 4 are nothing compared to left4dead 2 or assassins creed 2. Well, if you tell everyone to back off, that would really be sad cause guess what? I bought my ps3 last week because you said uncharted2 was the best game you ever saw. I also got infamous, killzone2, resistance 2, mw2 & gta4(do you notice all this games were given a 5?). I dodged a major bullet when you saved me from wet(you gave 2/5). So now...

Hooray! Your requests (there were none, actually) for a Style Savvy review have been answered! In short, this game is a joy and it’s a shame no one can embrace their inner girly girl long enough to appreciate it. Well, I’m here to act as your inner girl-child for the day and tell you exactly what makes Style Savvy so great. Did all those games push their release dates in fear of Modern Warfare 2…or were they really worried we’d all be caught up styling our mannequins while gearing up for the platinum fashion contest? Okay…probably the former, but don’t dismiss Style Savvy just yet…watch.

G4 Is Proud To Present Campus PD

When you're flipping around the channels, looking for something (anything) to watch, you know you stop on action-oriented reality programming every time. Relax, everyone does. That's why we at G4 are proud to present Campus PD, a brand new program detailing real, college police work premiering on the network on Wednesday, December 9 at 11 PM ET.

Campus PD  "takes viewers along for the ride with officers on duty to capture firsthand all the mayhem and excitement they take on night after night when student fun spirals out of control."  That means binge-drinking co-eds and law-and-order cops meeting head-on.

From policing parties and security issues, to keeping the peace at sports events and arresting possible suspects, ride with the Campus PD as they tackle the ongoing challenge of keeping students safe. Depicting university life from the perspective of the law enforcement professionals who police them, this ground-breaking new series presents a real-life account of these modern-day campus heroes. As they gear up for a shift, these courageous cops know they’re in for a few surprises!

The series heads to five college towns across the country including Tallahassee, FL, San Marcos, TX, Cincinnati, OH, Chico, CA, and Greenville, NC. It takes viewers deep inside the internal lives of the law enforcement professionals policing a town of fun-loving college kids. It isn’t easy, but these dedicated officers love their jobs, and wouldn’t have it any other way.

“It’s no secret that high energy police shows are very popular among male viewers. With Campus PD, we join real police teams and head to college towns, where the students – and their everyday lives – will prove highly relatable to G4’s core young male audience” said Neal Tiles, President, G4.

Campus PD premieres this December, with an initial run of ten episodes. It's available in HD, too. Check out the official site for more details.

It was just yesterday that we all found out about the closing of Pandemic Studios, creators of the Mercenaries series and the upcoming The Saboteur. While there have been a lot of game developers shutting their doors recently, this one seems to represent something larger than a simple financial decision. Pandemic's publisher EA tried an experiment last year by releasing new, experimental IPs like Mirror's Edge and Dead Space instead of their usual stable of licensed games and sequels. But are they really to blame when we, the gaming public, didn't buy into their great experiment? Listen to what Adam has to say on the subject and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Excuse me for a moment. I know you're busy getting dominated by foul-mouthed children in Modern Warfare 2 right now, but I thought you would like to know the new episode of The MMO Report is now available. In this week's show, Casey lets you know that Star Trek Online finally has a release date, that Aion has sold almost one million copies, and that Warhammer Online now has an unlimited free trial. Now that's a payment plan I like. So take a seat and enjoy the vast knowledge of Casey Schreiner by pressing play and watching this week's episode of The MMO Report.

Since everyone is talking about or playing or buying extra copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 right now, Adam couldn't let this week's Soapbox go by without talking about the controversial "Airport Scene" we've all been hearing so much about.

While this video is fairly light on spoilers, if you haven't finished the single-player campaign in the game, you might want to wait before you hear what the Sess has to say on the subject. That being said, how did playing through that scene make you feel? Or did you skip the level, expecting it to be gratuitous and offensive? Let us know what you think, but again, please keep the discussion intelligent and civil.

Update: Adam did not go on Fox and Friends. It was his decision, and it was due to scheduling.
