Oh, baby! Let the drooling commence!
A teaser poster for Iron Man 2 has been officially released. While we get our first real glimpse of the new Iron Man armor, with its subtle differences (mainly in the chestplate) to the first film's Mark III armor, the real story here is WAR MACHINE!
The casting drama between Terrence Howard, the original James "Rhodey" Rhodes and his bigger name replacement, Don Cheadle, will culminate with the iconic War Machine armor that the character will inhabit. While we only get a glimpse of his back, it is already evident that this version matches the concept art that was making the rounds back in October. This War Machine armor is far more rough, sinuous, and menacing than its comic incarnations. A lone minigun (maybe laser cannon?) also rests on top of his right shoulder that looks ready to rip through villains, Justin Hammer and Whiplash in a very gruesome way. The red glow coming from his eyes makes the message pretty clear: This guy does NOT f*** around!
James Rhodes is a key character in the Iron Man mythos. In fact, for a time, he WAS Iron Man during Tony Stark's rehab period. Rhodes was actually Iron Man during Marvel's groundbreaking Secret Wars crossover in 1984. This time, we'll get to see him come into his own in the film.

I'm pretty sure the reason they casted Don Cheadle instead is because there's probably going to be a spin-off. Doesn't matter though. I adore Don Cheadle. Can't wait!

Iron Man 1 did a great job on the back story. Iron Man 2 should be all about the suit. Bring on the carnage.

Luckily I don't have any strange mental or physical defects which would cause me to drool over a photo of two robot-men, but I am very much looking forward to seeing this film.

Wait a minute... That War Machine armor is similar to the one seen during Iron Man 1's closing credits. Doesn't make it any less awesome though.

Man I can't wait for this movie to come out, when I first saw this poster I nearly fainted, actually I did faint for at least 3 minutes, especially when I saw my boy War Machine, he's is just awesome and personally I think he is better than Ironman. I just hope they give him a decent amount of time in the movie and not just 2 minutes like venom in spiderman 3 cause that's still pissing me off
