downloadable episode will be called, but the publisher had to tell others -- and Internet sleuths followed the trail. According to Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition's breakdown at the British Board of Film Classification, the second downloadable episode for Resident Evil 5 will be called Desperate Escape.
Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition collects all the downloadable content into one retail package. That bundle will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in March, but the downloadable content itself will be rolled out in waves before that. The content is not planned for the PC right now.
Of course, the name Desperate Escape doesn't include "important" details that explain what exactly players will be doing during Desperate Escape...but hey, it's a start.
All this talk of Resident Evil 5 is just reminding me I never finished the damn game.

Maybe because the game sucked compared to a lot of others that are out. Stop and gun doesn't do it for me. Run and gun yes!

I might rent the Gold edition just so I can play the new DLC levels. I did finish this game a couple a months ago. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't horrible either. Overall it was a satisfying experience.

Wait, I thought it had been previously confirmed that there wouldn't be new edition of RE5, only DLC? I still haven't picked up RE5, and was considering getting it at Best Buy on Black Friday for $20, but if this Gold Edition will collect all the DLC and bundle it into one package for a bargain price (probably $40), then I'm just going to hold off.

Some people may hate RE5 because of the stop & aim thing but I love it. Run & gun is just another way to spay bullets all over the place. I like that capcom kept the RE4 formula. I'll be looking forward to play the DLC.

Besides being the only game that I can play with my girlfriend without wanting to destroy her, RE5 has been a refreshing online experience with strangers. I am hoping the DLC keeps the co-op format.

I need to load that back up and finish off my gamerpoints...I think I got like 2 achievements left. But one is buying pretty much every upgrade (timesink) and the other is along the same lines...

getting all the upgrades isn't really a time sink. there is a level where you can kill like 15 lickers and they drop about 5 gems worth alot. it only takes a few hours to repeat this process till you have all the cash you need.

i loved resident evil 5, and i feel kinda alone when i say that, since alot of people didnt like the game that much (e.g. x-play). i think it is also partly because i played it before i played resident evil 4, and i still havent finished it (not my fault, wii is at my dads house). but my greatest fantasy for this 2nd dlc is that the characters you play as are leon and ada wong, and once the dlc is beaten a trailer is shown for resident evil 6 starring leon.

Resident Evil 5 was not a terrible game. It was an improvement on resident evil 4,ive finished the game begining to end at least 5 times and everytime i played solo i never finished it in co-op so that just goes to show you x-plays reviewers must just not be to good at video games and all the haters saying i want run and gun then go get a playstation 2 and a copy of resident evil outbreak 2 and u can walk and gun this is resident evil not gears of war not gta and not max payne and if ur a good enough shot then u dont need run and gun.Just cause every game out there has run and gun doesnt mean it needs to become gears of evil. if u hated 5 then u obviously hated 1-4 as well.So if its such a bad game and u hate it so much heres an idea stop caring so much about it.Definately gettin R.E.5 DLC

If capcom does make RE6 it has to be better than RE5 and RE4. RE4 was great. RE5 not so good. So RE6 better be great.

Resident Evil 5 is a cool game.... ok some times your partner made u feel like killing her with a bomb sometimes but the game is pretty solid nice game play and i will really like to play the new level buuuutt i have to wait cause ive got the PC version this sucks lol...

Personally the story of RE5 was very bad..I was expecting the return of the T/G virus and instead its more plagas...atleast wesker was there to kick some major ass. And people out there need to realize that a game is made with certain parameters...its just the way it is.....one of the parameters of this game is that you have to stop and shoot..why does everyone complain about that? To me RE4 and 5 are not survival horror..they're more like action horror. Capcom just had to make the games stupid enough for a larger audience to be able to play. I bet ALOT of people didn't play zero-3 because of the "horrible camera angles"..now that they can't bitch about that they gotta bag the stop and shoot thing...if you could move and shoot how hard would the game be? MY <---look at that before you bag me..MY opinion is that RE2 is the best in the series.....the games had the camera angles and controls the way they were because most of the enemies were slow..so basically you would run into them around corners and such...just..put up with the parameters a game has..arguing about it isn't going to make chris/sheva suddenly "run and gun"...just like the story of the game won't change for me. The only thing I have a problem with is all these re-releases of games for top dollar a year later...I mean there's this and then ssf4..wtf capcom? They're really trying to milk people with this stuff...
