Modern Warfare 2 Avatar Clothes Coming To Xbox Live

Check out the picture above: It's the full ghost outfit from the new Modern Warfare 2 avatar clothes coming to Xbox Live. In fact, they should be available for download today, friends -- but you'll have to buy them.

Don't feel left out, PlayStation 3 owners: You'll get some Modern Warfare 2 themes for your system.

As for the price: I don't know yet. According to Infinity Ward's official twitter, run by Creative Strategist Robert Bowling, "I asked for some to be free but was denied." I wonder who Bowling asked?

My question to you: What would you pay to outfit your little computer self with the armor you see above?

I think $5-$7 sounds abut what i might pay if i had the money. I think that they should have it un-lockable in the game for completing a series of achievements. That way it can be free or maybe that way it would give you a discount. Its still ridiculous that I (xbox owners) are willing to pay for things like this but yet here we are.

I would pay nothing to have clothes for my avatar. I would also not pay anything to have a theme for my PS3 since so many are available online, for free.

The 0.50 cal is for n00bers who have not yet discovered that the R700 is just as powerful and more accurate.

You mean like all the free avatar clothes that is already available since day 1? Or do you mean the free ones that come with completing acheivements on Halo 3,Halo Odst, Halo Wars or even games like splosion man? Why complain at all if no one is forcing u to buy it?

I'm sorry, but why would I spend money on something that in no way enhances my game or system? I think that I'll just stick with my free avatar clothing which works just fine. Honestly, if I want game related avatar cloths, they should come with the game which I'm already spending $60 bucks on. At least Bowling asked for some to be free, that was nice of him.

I really think that it should be unlockables from the game, like left4dead2 is doing it... I pre-ordered MW2, and i cant wait to play it... but im not spending 5dllrs on that. Ulockable avatar stuff should be supported more.

really, that statement made it sound like g4 wanted to start some fanboy stuff, when it comes to shooters I think I'll stick with my killzone 2 helghan suit for my avatar or my r2 suit...could also do soccom, already have stuff to make my avatar somewhat like this so no big deal.

and the thing i hate about kids sometimes that think there good by using the m21 or .50 cal come on those are nooby snipers use the m40 or r700 and stop being bad

personally i hated the avatars at first but they grew on me. i dont know why people are getting mad about this. if you want to buy the clothing then buy it if not keep moving. i like the fact that you can do something that will make you character different than your friends. most of my friends got the costumes for halloween that was nice. plus the .50 cal is like being touched by the hand of god. the most dangerous weapon since zeus's lighting bolt.

Hey, I'm all for making the dollies look more badass. Of course, a dolly can only look so badass before realizing that it's just a dolly. One that can't beat up the real Barbies you have hidden in the closet, anyway.

Not that I have Barbie and My Little Pony dolls in my closet or anything.
