Last week, I brought you the story of Oscar, the dog who purchased $62 worth of Microsoft Points while his owners slept. Since this story broke, Microsoft has revealed that it is refunding the LIVE points to the dog's owners and "providing extra for good measure." Microsoft also created a gamertag for Oscar so the dog "doesn’t feel left out anymore."

These important developments in the story obviously raise a number of troubling questions about the future of cross-species gaming. Summoning all my journalistic powers, I was able to track down a Microsoft representative and get the following hard-hitting questions answered.

G4: What’s Oscar's gamertag? Because I want to play him at Tekken 6.

Microsoft: Oscar’s Gamertag is Oscar the K9 and his LIVE friend list is already full!

G4: Great. I have fewer friends than a dog... Does the story of Oscar the Dog indicate Xbox is shifting its focus to more canine-based entertainment products? Can we expect to see the release of a game called Chewing My Damn Sneakers Apart?

Microsoft: Microsoft does not comment on rumors or speculation.

G4: Are there any cats with gamertags?

Microsoft : Not that we’re aware of, Oscar is the first of our furry four-legged friends to have a game tag.

G4: My toddler has purchased an episode of Lost that I've already seen while playing with and/or sucking on a controller. Does Microsoft have a team of ergonomics specialists/mad scientists who design the Xbox controllers specifically so that dogs and babies will buy things by accident???? (OMG! Conspiracy!)

Microsoft: Again, Microsoft does not comment on rumors, speculation or even conspiracy theories. :)
