The movie version on Stephen King's horror novel Pet Sematary is one of the best, b-horror movies ever made, and would make a terrific video game. Finally, nearly 20 years later, it's happening. An iPhone game is available based on Pet Sematary.
The game is a tap-to-kill'er in which a legion of undead animals bedevil a lone human trapped on a rooftop. Okay, maybe that doesn't capture the undead-melodrama of a grief-stricken father burying his recently dead son in the hopes that he'll rise from the grave, but that kind of pathos is hard to capture on the iPhone. Better we should be blasting zombie chickens, cats and other animals.
It's available on the app store now for only a buck.

As scared as I am of the b-game cheese, I might have to check this out. Loved the movie, the book was even better, but I guess as long as we are shooting something undead it makes a passable game.

Bwahaha my sister was saying we need to rent this for Halloween like we do every year. I don't see how they can capture the movies dark mood and transfer it to an iPhone game. I'd like to see some gameplay.

Zelda (the crazy sister in the movie) is one of the scariest movie characters EVER. I don't see how a cell phone game could possibly capture her freakiness

"No Brain...no pain!" - Pet Cemetary 2
Im going to have to watch these again. But was IT ever made into a game? Watching that "made for TV" movie again now makes you laugh at some of sayings the actors said like, "Awww stop it or mom will have a bird!" or "I bet my fern I will!" WTF? Ferns must of been expensive and valuable back then!

silly question: is there a licensing issue that they had to spell it with an "S"?
