Sega's Website Confirms What We All Knew: Alpha Protocol Delayed Into 2010Online retailers have been slowly altering the release date for Alpha Protocol -- which should have arrived on store shelves this month -- into 2010. Sega has kept completely silent on the issue, however, preferring to let gamers speculate and wonder what's going on with their pre-orders. But Sega's own website has confirmed Alpha Protocol's shift, now listing the game as a spring 2010 release.

Don't believe me? Check the website or the image to the right, as that's clipped directly from the Alpha Protocol product page on Sega's website. How exactly Sega's webmasters are more informed than the company's public relations department is a little confusing.

That's one less RPG for the fall. Take it away, Dragon Age: Origins.

As I have said before in various places this could be exactly what the game needed. To me it looked like the game was being rushed and this extra development time could put a nice level of polish on it. Plus this title probably would have been lost in the holiday rush and I think that would have sucked because the premise sounds interesting.

I think this title was pushed back because it needed work, not because it was afraid of MW2. From all the movies they have shown on it, the concept look very strong, but it needs a lot of polish and work on execution. Given more time, I think this can be a very strong title.

Also, a espionage rpg versus a FPS??? I think the only thing they have in common is that they're a next gen game that's being released this fall. Apples and Oranges are in same comparison league.

I was planning to get Alpha Protocol this month so I guess I will pick either Borderlands or Smackdown vs Raw 2010. I can't wait for modern warfare 2 next month.

All these games being pushed back to spring 2010. Now that time will have too many game releases and more push backs will follow. Just becuase of the bad economy.

No worries, as I have tons of recently discounted games to buy and play. Gear's for $20,works for me!

It's about time they FINALLY (kinda) confirmed this! This release date has been floating around all over the place for months now, so there really needed to be some confirmation like this.

I'm really excited to play this game because it looks pretty fun, but I'd be willing to wait for it if it needs more polish. And also this just gives me more time and money for all the other awesome games coming out for the big holiday rush, like Borderlands and yes, Dragon Age: Origins!
