The man you see in the photo above is awesome. He reportedly walked into a NYC library, took out a wireless router, an Xbox 360, monitor, controller, and headset, then sat down to go to work.
After building his gaming command center, the dude started playing Halo 3, Call of Duty and other games using the New York library's public Wi-Fi, barking orders at his team-mates over the headset as he did. Killjoy library officials reportedly shut down his one-man LAN party in like two minutes.
My question: If the dude can't afford an internet connection at home, how can he pay for Xbox Live?

RRODisBack
Some people can't afford to pay to play games online it appears.

Nice. Hey, it's free Wi-Fi.

Awesome? How about annoying especially seeing as he was yelling orders in a library where your supposed to be quiet. Not to mention everyone knows Halo players have temper tantrums like a 12 year old whenever they die so he was probably going beyond annoying.
infamouscole15
Maybe it wasn't his account...

I don't think they should kick him out for just playing the game, it had to be him barking orders to his teammates. Other people play games on the computers and don't get kicked out so if that was the case I see gamer discrimination.

It sounds cool at first, but is him playing in the library a sign of his gaming addiction? Was it a prank or did he need a gaming fix that bad that he went through all that work.
I wouldn't be surprised if that guy didn't have a job or girlfriend and lived at home. His mom probably turned the internet off to motivate him to leave the house.
godlike79
AWESOME.maybe i should try that .lol

If he had no sound on (or had headsets), and wasn't barking over a team-speak, then yeah, I'd call bogus. As it was, he was most likely disturbing the quiet of a library, a place where people *actually* go to study and learn, so I feel no sympathy.

I would like to nominate this man for "Balls of the Year" candidate.

WTF is wrong with you? You probably dont have a job or a girlfriend and live at home.....what exactly did you read to bring you to this conclusion? Nothing in the above article would lead you to this so you are pretty much stereotyping like a tool. No one likes a tool or a republican.
And gaming addicition??? He was playing Halo for 2 minutes how does that classify as an addicition??
What a re re and a disgrace to Americans. (please be Canadian??)
Raverenz51
I bet it was the "yelling / talking" on the mic that got him kicked out, or possibly the fact that a xbox 360, Monitor, ect used up a lot of outlets that got him kicked out. If people can bring in laptops and play games on those, I see no reason for the 360, other than the previously stated facts.
