You weren't supposed to be able to purchase the "All Fronts" downloadable expansion (with single and multiplayer content) for Gears of War 2 last night, let alone at a cheaper price. Yet, "All Fronts" magically appeared on the Xbox Live Marketplace at a lower price point last night before someone realized the switch had been flipped.
Gamers who attempted to purchase the content ran into errors and were unable to properly download the content -- surprise, surprise! Epic Games wasn't sure what happened overnight, but Gears of War official forum moderator "Flak" has since confirmed it was a bug on Microsoft's side, both in terms of price and release.
The DLC is still scheduled for release on the 28th for 1,600 Microsoft points (All Fronts) and 1,200 Microsoft points (Dark Corners)," said Flak. "Something happened at Microsoft which we have no control over. 1,600 points is an awesome deal for all of the content. (And our guys worked hard creating it!)"
As Flak pointed out, the content is officially scheduled for July 28.

ehhh gears of war 1 was rly good but idk for some reason i just dont like gears 2 that much it just seemed to go to a more general audeience and they took out the hardcore play or something i dont rly know how to describe it. Pluse gears to has so much BS that it seriously isnt even funny, when u shoot a guy point blank with a shotgun 5 times they shoud die.

even though its been pulled , ive seen some gamertags who succesfully bought them and have the achievements to prove it . some people lucked out i guess . also 20 bucks is a good deal for me because i havent bought any of the map packs yet

For all of those people who hate gears F U! Gears is the best damn game ever and if u think about it u pay $20 anyway to get a points card and furthermore, dont blame epic for a slite problem with a price that we all where willing to pay. peace out from chaosoldier666!

I can't stand playing Gears 2. It just isn't as intense and fun like the original. Not to mention it even has more shenanigans than Gears 1 which does have its fair share. If news surfaced that the games were made by two entirely different companies, I'd believe it right away. I still don't understand how a company can change the core gameplay completely when they make a sequel to a successful game. Don't get me wrong Gears 2 is ok. It just doesn't come close to the greatness of the first game. Now I'd actually drop twenty dollars for some Gears 1 dlc though.

I wont buy it until they fix the multiplayer. I love playing gears but its so frustrating trying to get into a multiplayer game. Its been broke since i bought the game and it still is. Its almost impossible to join a game.

Eh, Gears of War 2 came and went on me. The singleplayer was far more enjoyable than the first one, but the multiplayer though seemingly better, was not as enjoyable a the first one's was. Maybe all of those 'mistakes' that were in Gears 1 kept people coming back. Pass on the DLC though, sorry Epic; though Shadow Complex looks excellent.

Is the higher price for everything a response to 1 vs 100 having prizes now? Because seriously, not everyone wins that... I've been trying to play it for a month and I've never been in the mob or the one... It's crazy.

im confused. Doesn't the all fronts come with the single player content too. cause if it doesn't then that's one of the lamest things in the world. I don't want to pay 1200 points for only a new chapter in the campaign.

I returned my Gears 2 a long time ago. That laggy, buggy, glitchy piece of steaming horse crap should be taken off the market for being such a poor quality product. And then Epic tries to milk it's customers by releasing all these garbage maps for a broken game. That's all Epic cares about is the money. They knew Gears 2 would sell like crazy so why polish the game and make it good when it will sell well anyway? Gears 2 blows and shadow complex looks retarded.

Finally I thought I was gong crazy. I was up late play UFC at around 5:15 am I stopped playing and was checking out content on the Xbox Live Marketplace and there is was "All Fronts" for 800 points. I freaked, I couldn't wait to play it, but for some reason I couldn't download the pack. I tried and tried but nothing work, being tired I said forget it and I went to sleep. The moment I woke I jumped on Xbox live to download and it was gone. Thank you G4 for posting this article I thought I had lost my mind.

most people who go back to Gears 1 have no skill and just love to do those stupid one shot down bull crap because they do not know how to get a kill any other way. Gears 2 is far more fair than Gears 1 ever was, especially with that sniper crap. Sure its laggy, but ever since that new patch, I have been playin almost lag free games, to the point where I kick everyone's asses. I would love to buy the Dark Corners Epic, cuz Gears 2 does not suck, it beats the crap out of other cover system immitators out there that's for sure, but against Mass Effect, I have to beg to differ though.

Meh I have'nt touched Grear2 in like 6 months. At this point I could really careless with all the gliches that game had in multiplayer and they wait 3 months later to address only some the issues it had, no thanks.

1200 points plus 1600 points? LOL No thanks. Fix the stupid multiplayer feature were the host can pause the game and make everyone wait. Epic must have a bunch of Rocket Scientist in their staff. I'd rather buy songs for Rockband 2.
