Wolfenstein RPG, a game that takes the infamous shooter and attaches conventional RPG mechanics to it, will be the last id Software-produced iPhone game published by Electronic Arts, now that the studio has been acquired by ZeniMax Media. id co-founder John Carmack has been telling the press Wolfenstein RPG is done, so where is it?
EA was only willing to divulge a "summer" release date to me, with EA Mobile website listing Wolfenstein RPG as "coming soon."
I figured the disconnect could be Apple-related, since LucasArts dropped heavy hints that The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is coming to the iPhone, but cited Apple policy as a reason the company isn't discussing it yet. In that case, however, it's because the game isn't finished yet -- Wolfenstein RPG is done, according to Carmack.
The release of Wolfeinstein RPG remains a bit of a mystery, as it does most of the time, and like most iPhone releases, I expect it'll just magically show up one morning. How suspenseful.

How would Wolfenstein work as an RPG? There are only so many things that old game can do lol

I don't get Apple. They turn down games for "reasons" and then allow apps that do nothing but make farting noises?
