It's not happening to that extreme anymore; Infinity Ward revealed the box art for Modern Warfare 2 today, complete with the traditional Call of Duty logo. The logo is different, however, emphasizing the Modern Warfare tagline over Call of Duty.

Whats important to me is that the gameplay is relatively the same GOOD, The name doesnt matter as long as a good story is told no matter where it takes place

@ azn_bl1tzkr13g world at war was not considered cod 5 read up on the two games side by side and you will understand why. Therefore this game will be known as COD5 to me

Oh my... ! Really, who gives a flying rodent's anus? The game is going to be amazing (I hope). When we are in the middle of playing this game after it comes out, is anybody really going to stare at the box and think: "Gee, I really wish they spent more time designing a better art cover for this case."
The box that contains the game could be made out of compacted water buffalo feces and egg yolks for all I care. As long as the game works and is great, why would you even bother to look at the box art if only to identify the game upon purchase?

I really don't see what the big deal is over having the CoD logo on it...it is a CoD game so the CoD logo should be on it.
Anyway, it looks like a really good game which I really, really want!
