Oh man, what a week! How do you like the new Feed? Pretty snazzy, eh?
But we both know why you're here; you need a knowledge injection from the man himself, Casey Schreiner. This week Casey will discuss the new Star Wars: The Old Republic timeline trailer, how Twitter has finally come to World of Warcraft, and a new social experiment where a college professor used City of Heroes to study human interactions. Also there will be pie. But not really. Enjoy

Ur outtakes at the end of the show are hilarious and of the course the info is fresh relevant and keeps me hungry to get my fix of warcraft

by the way the PS3 game inFamous uses the intro music of the mmo report in the game. I was freaking out when i thought mmo report entered my PS3.

How did you know the reason why I'm here? Hehehe.
I love to take a doze of information form Casey. This makes the bond between me and my son really strong. We are like best friends.

Just a note, what "Professor Twixt" was doing in City of Heroes was not by the rules. He was griefing, by description of his own actions. As such, not encouraged by the developers and the real source of any and all hatred towards him.
How was he griefing? Every PvP zone in the game has NPC drones that protect both bases, so that players can have places to plan or gear up or whatever with low risk of getting attacked before they are ready. These drones can kill anything with one shot (and also inflict XP debt). What Twixt was doing was teleporting opponents next to these drones, thus getting them auto-killed. He never defeated them himself.

Ehter Saga Online is killer and also anyone who tweets while playing WOW is a loser!!!!!!!!! And I love the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
EternalSerenity
Seriously, I would watch caseys outtakes if they were just there own show and I had no idea what the MMO report was lol.
Your HILARIOUS bro.
Luckily i do know what the mmo report is and the outtakes are paired with it, cause its a combo that i never miss.
if only it was a once a day show lol.
Also you should think about taking over late night with david letterman when that old @#&%er dies, you'd be great at it, find some auditions!!

Yay! Finally I can watch the MMO Report on Chrome!

While it's fun to tweak *some* player's noses for overreacting to being griefed by Twixt, where is the outrage that some professor's essay over his experience of being an ass is passed off as 'research"? That's not research. There's no double-blind study here. C'mon, Casey, you're reporting from geek-central and every nerd knows what constitutes real science and 'research.' This ain't it.

Come on Casey et al, EvE isn't that bad. It's a little slow, yes, but the combat and depth of it is pretty good. I enjoy EvE and WoW, isn't there enough room in the Interwebs for both?
Regardless, actually I enjoy when Casey and crew poke fun at EvE. At least it doesn't have it's own WTF segment like Second Life.
Yes, I agree with Eternal Serenity and tdufore13 about the Outtakes. Hilarious, they're like the outtakes at the end of Cannonball Run. Question is Casey, are you Dom DeLuise or Burt Reynolds?
Big_red42
come on there is no way he would only have been griefing the entire time someone must have been smart enough to stop him or to get in ordinary combat with Twixt. plus you have to remember this is a professor he's probably 50 something thought that was ok to do.
Bleachbam
Actually Big_red42, although he did not grief ALL the time, almost every time he encountered a player he would indeed do the whole "TP to drone", TP into a mass of NPCS, or generally harass them from afar if you were not near said drones/NPCs.
And as for retaliation, he picked a sort of smattering of powers that, coupled with the way he played, made it incredibly difficult to beat him. He had high regeneration, heals, flight, and numerous ranged attacks. Basically he would hit you with the strongest ranged attacks he could find while hovering above your head(most people didnt fly), as well as a relatively strong vet reward ( i believe) with high knockback. If you didnt die he would generally fly away, to reappear later, whilst you fought another person.
He also knew what he was doing, he stated as much in his essays.

"I'm studying the effects of negative reinforcement on MMO players."
"The effect? I'll tell you what the effect is, it's pissing me off!"

I'd really like to see MMO report at least mention Mortal Online. I love this show but would like to see it cover more in-developement MMOs then just the standard fair. Interview with Starvault would be awesome.
seniorfrito
I have to completely agree with Reckless22. I actually came on this site for the second time in my life specifically to say that I'm totally disappointed in G4TVs coverage of Mortal Online. I think that Mortal Online is probably one of the biggest MMOs of the year. With it's release right around the corner and it's unique features, it needs to have major coverage on the MMO Report. Beta is up and running and preorders are available now. I've already preordered mine. Anyway, hope to see it on the MMO Report soon.

Nice Ghostbusters reference, Olfinbedwere. While Twixt is trying to do reasearch on this, I think it like a kid knowing about gun saftey. The kid knows that shooting a small metalallic object is gonna kill someone, like how people know griefing is gonna make some people pissed. All he really did was piss off some people, say that he got death threats, and say some stuff that people already know. It be like the New York Post saying the Soviet Union collapsed, or that Spider-Man 3 sucked.
