Valve continues to make their case for the quick turnaround on Left 4 Dead 2, despite fan accusations the developer is abandoning the original Left 4 Dead community too quickly. Their motives will become clearer later this year, promised Valve marketing director Doug Lombardi in an interview with CVG, where he teased a Left 4 Dead downloadable content announcement later this summer.
No details on the content were provided.
"I think 8, 9 months from now," said Lombardi, "once everything's been out for a while and everyone's had time to see the complete product of Left 4 Dead 2 and see continued support for Left 4 Dead 1, they may sort of see what we were up to and what the method of our madness was there."
I'd say Valve's earned our trust at this point. Let's see how this one plays out.

Yah I'm kinda mad about L4D2, but its worse when one of your friends in a valve fanboy.
Me: From what I've seen its just new skins, maps and weapons. Nothing they couldn't put in DLC.

Although from what I've heard more recently L4D2 has some major changes, we'll see if its worth buying later though.

I've always enjoyed Valve's products and they seem pretty committed to providing good service. I'll buy L4D2 without complaint, It always amuses me when snotty nameless kids second guess successful multimillion dollar companies and what they should or shouldn't do.... If you've got it all figured out, then start your own darn development company nitwits.

Valve if you are reading this then WHERE the hell is our DLC for the 360 version of TF2. I will be more than happy to pay you for it; even if that means I have to buy a standalone TF2 disc with new maps and updated characters. You guys at valve have provided me with some of the best gaming experiences I have had in my 32 years of gaming, so suck it up and release some Tf2 DLC.

i don't understand the fuss. are we expecting a kind of mmorpg kind of treatment? its a console/pc game..don't expect more other than dlc as a way of giving you prolonged gameplay with it. i bought into the hype of valve had for left4dead and bought a copy. didn't like it and sold it to amazon.
the only franchise valve is going to get my hard earned cash is for half life and i'm still waiting for the next chapter. maybe if they weren't working on cheating people out with their supposed great zombie game which it isn't then maybe we'd get more dlc for team fortress 2 or half life or the next portal.

l4d2 is more than just a dlc looking game for me. i mean the directors upgraded, 5 new campaigns, new multiplayer,new zombies , melee weapons an daylight(i mean they were zombies not vampires,

watch these videos its left 4 dead 2 swamp fever gameplay and the have left 4 dead 1 guns included, heres my theory how the left 4 dead 1 weapons will fit in (btw new infected boss is spitter that spits poison gas at you and damages you if you stay in the gas, and the new uncommon common is called the mudmen they run at you at all 4s much faster than the regular infected)anyways heres the theory pump shotguns and uzis are tier 1s, M4, Auto Shotgun, and Hunting rifle are Tier 2s, the SCAR, SPAS 12, and Auto Sniper are Tier 3s.
