You may know Megan Fox for her starring role as "Stars-and-Stripes Bikini Kid Dancing Under Waterfall" in Bad Boys 2, or her work as the non-robotic female lead in the Transformers movies (I think she's credited as "Lip-Gloss-Chick-Who-Poses-On-Motorcycle"). But soon, you may see Fox taking on the role of everyone's favorite 1990s video game heroine, Tomb Raider lead Lara Croft. This casting decision makes me very, very happy. But according to reports, it makes Angelina Jolie very, very pissed.
The next Tomb Raider film is said to focus on Lara Croft's younger years, and Angelina Jolie, 34, is apparently getting a too haggard (by Hollywood standards) to play a young Lara, so Megan (23) has reportedly been tapped for the role. According to an unnamed source quoted by Britain's The Sun tabloid:
"Angie was intent on reprising her role. She feels it's something she helped define and feels robbed that it looks likely to be handed to someone who she considers less capable than her."
And:
"Angie isn't a fan of the Transformers films and believes Megan won't do the Lara Croft character justice. She's also annoyed because she thinks Megan copies everything from her, from her tattoos to her style."
So the gloves are off and the claws are out!
Leaving aside the issue of whether playing Lara Croft takes some amazing reserve of acting talent, I have a great way to settle the issue: Lingerie pillow-fight. At my house. Of course I would document this battle for the internet, and thus it would be part of my job, and my wife wouldn't be mad.
So which chick is the best Lara Croft? Jolie, Fox, or is there another person who should take the part? Personally, I think G4's Mike D'Alonzo would be perfect in the role -- he's a really good actor.

lets face it you need someone younger and fresher to revive the role and quite frankly the last lara outing was pretty damn suspect.. so if they can revitalize the franchise (both movies and games) with a new fresh face and a new approach why not?

i know i'm gonna get a lot of hate for saying this, but i don't think Angelina Jolie is hot. she has a nice body, but her face is...weird...i'd rather stare at Megan Fox for 2 hours.

Considering Megan Fox is about as good as an actor as Paul Walker, obviously talent isn't a main issue with a Toomb Raider movie. Angelina Jolie didn't do anything special with it, she just used a terrible accent and walked like a dude.

But Angelina should shut up. And I like her, I do, very nice and all that but na'h, is none of her business...just like it ain't none of our business when she and Brad don't wanna talk to nobody so Brangelina, stop being a spoil bitch and I talked about you once, I like you, you should be grateful but yeah, slow down "Lara Croft."
Whether Megan can do it or not is based on your opinion, I think Brangelina should worry about themselves cause quite honestly, they've been good at in their whole relationship.

megan fox can't act. as little acting as a tomb raider movie requires, you still have to be able to make the role believable. the best acting i've seen out of megan fox was in "How To Lose Friends and Alienate People" where she played the dumb, hot hollywood starlet that simon pegg wanted to bang. Oh wait, that didn't really require any acting from her. never mind.

i'll be honest... the Tomb Raider films are terrible and it doesn't credit Angelina Jolie's already glowing filmography. IF Angelina is angry and annoyed that Megan Fox is the new Lara (a big if, considering The Sun are so incapable of telling the truth they'd literally spontaneously combust before they actually uttered a truthful word out of that cesspool they call a mouth... and for the record, yes. I'm from England), she shouldn't be that downhearted about it, considering Eidos' once great franchise is now something gamers only reminisce about and the films are something most movie goers, never mind gamers, avoid like the plague.
Megan Fox may be a pretty face, but... that's all she is to me. She hasn't done anything crazy-awesome as an actress, and even though I love the Transformer films, I can't say no other actress out there could play Mikela... because... well... Megan's not exactly a brilliant actress, is she? She's a model that can change poses super, super quick.
