What would you do if your boss asked you to do nothing but research dictionaries, Wikipedia and other language sources for six whole months? That's exactly the task that Scribblenauts

developer 5th Cell assigned to five people within their company, creative director Jeremiah Slaczka revealed at E3.
"We've actually had five people and all they did is they went through dictionaries and Wikipedia and encyclopedias and anything you can think of for six months, that's all they did every day during the week," explained Slaczka. "With the technology, we just basically said we're going to take all the base things like fire and temperature and gravity and physics and we're just going to put it down there and the game's going to take all that and know exactly what to do with it. We don't have to program anything. If a bear is hungry and wants honey, we don't have to program that -- it's going to know that already."
At least all that hard work resulted in Scribblenauts becoming one of the most impressive games at E3 this year, earning the crown for most original game of the show! To check out more from the Scibblenauts team, check out our complete E3 interview.

This is excellent Never knew this, now I believe that it definitely deserved alot of attention. But doing nothing but researching words, for half a year. Yeah I can't do that, I would go insane. But makes me wonder how they wrote every word without making a mistake of there being the same word on their sheets.

well no vulgarites means a wang free game. But can you still have a couple tenis balls ans a banana and tie them together with rope and peach coloured spray paint "et voila!"
but this game will be freaking great.
