In the simplest terms...and the most convenient definitions, Sony's PlayStation Network has added some truly awesome HD movies. As some of you picked up from the opening line, The Breakfast Club is in the mix. John Hughes' tale of teenage self-discovery during detention is a high-school classic, whether you were (are) a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, or a criminal.
Lost in Translation is another brilliant movie in this update. No matter what stage of life you're in, Sofia Coppola's story of finding yourself in a foreign setting is something anyone that has felt "lost" can identify with. I truly believe that it's one of the best movies in the last decade. Then there's For Love of the Game...which is half a great movie. The baseball stuff is excellent, but it's tarnished by sappy, romantic drivel. Also, John C. Reilly cements his status as the best sidekick actor of his generation. Although Kelly Preston was a total hottie in this flick, I share the same opinion as ESPN's (excellent) Bill Simmons -- I wish there were a version of this movie that skipped all the romantic stuff and just had the baseball scenes.
