DSi Ware

The download shop for the brand new Nintendo DSi handheld has opened, and six games are available for download onto the system. Not only that, a new WiiWare game and a new Virtual Console title can be yours if you'd like to download them to your Wii.

First, the DSiWare games:

  • Nintendo DSi Browser (Nintendo, 1 player, 0 Nintendo DSi Points) -- This is the DSi's web-browser. Specially designed for the DSi, the browser makes use of the systems dual screens and touch control. It is free!
  •  WarioWare Snapped! (Nintendo, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone – Comic Mischief, 500 Nintendo DSi Points) -- A collection of mini-games that use the DSi's internal camera.
  • Art Style: Aquia (Nintendo, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Nintendo DSi Points) --  A "match three" puzzle game where players swap blocks off a three-tile-thick stack and try to match up the same colors to make them disappear.
  • Brain Age Express: Math (Nintendo, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 800 Nintendo DSi Points) -- Make your brain smarter with math. Players can enjoy a mix of new and familiar exercises, including Change Maker, Triangle Math, Sum Totaled and Multi Tasker. A new Themes mode includes drawing, photography and voice acting challenges, letting you share your creativity with others.
  • Bird and Beans (Nintendo, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 200 Nintendo DSi Points) -- This title takes the two Pyoro games from past WarioWare titles and combines them into a single downloadable file. Basically, these are simple arcade games where players get Pyoro to eat beans as they fall from the sky.
  • Master of Illusion™ Express: Funny Face (Nintendo, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 200 Nintendo DSi Points)-- Amaze (or annoy) your friends with this DSi assisted card trick.  Also included is the bonus Vanishing Card trick, which the Nintendo DSi system performs for your enjoyment. Thanks, Nintendo DSi system!

WiiWare:

EQUILIBRIO (DK-GAMES, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points) -- Remember those puzzles where you try to get a ball through a maze by tilting the board back and forth? Imagine that with a Wiimote or a balance board. Now imagine 64 levels of that puzzle. That's what's in store for those who download EQUILIBRIO.

Virtual Console

Uncharted Waters: New Horizons (Super NES, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone – Mild Cartoon Violence, Simulated Gambling, 800 Wii Points) -- Uncharted Waters: New Horizons is a game set in the Age of Discovery, that golden time of European global exploration and colonialism during the early 16th century. Be a Conquistador: Sail the seven seas, explore the hell out things, conquer native people, and more.

So, readers, do you have a DSi yet? I haven't gotten mine, but I've checked out the office machine, and it's pretty slick. What do you think?
