THQ has announced new downloadable content for the PlayStation 3 version of SmackDown vs. Raw 2009. The company's press release states:
"The content package for PlayStation Network, available for a suggested retail price of $4.99, will include Evan Bourne, Ted DiBiase and Charlie Haas (playable Superstars); Kelly Kelly and Maria (holiday costumes); Kane (masked); as well as new ring gear for Chris Jericho, MVP and Edge. In addition, future content is planned for PlayStation Network, as well as the first content for Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft."
The content is pretty cool. I'm particularly psyched for Matt Sydal Evan Bourne -- he has the best shooting-star press in the business and it'll look awesome in the game. WWE Diva fans will dig the holiday costumes for Kelly Kelly and Maria. Unfortunately, I'm playing the game on Xbox 360 and I don't want to start a new game for PlayStation 3. Selfishly, I'll hope that the 360 version gets some cool DLC in the near future.
