Sony's PlayStation Home is helping the company differentiate the PlayStation 3 from the competition. Sony is so bullish on the online service that one executive feels that it will eventually be a system seller. Computer and Videogames quotes Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Home service manager Dan Hill as saying:
"No-one else is doing anything of this scale or ambition. In time I would say that Home will definitely become a reason to purchase [PS3]."

Now don't get me wrong, I think that Home is an important differentiator and will become an integral part of the PlayStation 3 experience...but a system seller?!? I don't think so. Then again, I still struggle to understand why Second Life is so popular, so perhaps I'm missing something.
Do you guys agree with Hill? Will Home become a system seller? Or do you think he's just being a good employee and spouting company lines?
