Activision has announced its December lineup of songs for Guitar Hero: World Tour. First up is The Smashing Pumpkins on December 4, with "1979", "G.L.O.W.", and "Everlasting Gaze". They'll be followed by Nirvana on December 11, with "You Know You're Right", "Sliver", and "Negative Creep". The Eagles will light things up on December 18 with "Life in the Fast Lane", "One of These Nights", and "Frail Grasp on the Big Picture". And because nothing says Christmas like Reggae, December 23 will see the release of a free reggae pack with songs from Slightly Stoopid, Expendables, and Pepper. Activision's press release states:
"The Eagles, Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins Track Packs will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 440 Microsoft Points and on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system for $5.49. The songs in each Track Pack will be released as downloadable singles for Xbox 360 for 160 Microsoft Points, PlayStation 3 system for $1.99 and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for Wii for 200 Wii Points. The Free Reggae Rock Track Pack will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and as singles for Wii."

The offerings look pretty solid and diverse. There should be something for everyone in the mix. I'm pretty psyched for "1979" and "Life in the Fast Lane". On a sidenote, I miss James and, especially, D'arcy being in Pumpkins -- it's just not the same. What songs are you guys high on? I know you're all hot for the reggae pack. Ha!
