Kotaku posted a story this morning about the EVO Championship Series, an annual tournament of the best fighting games, played by the best fighting-gamers. The tournament can be traced back to a 1995 New York meet-up of top arcade players, determined to find a champion, and is now the longest-running fighting game tournament in the world.
The blood of the Old Ones (arcade gamers) courses through the veins of these ubergamers, and the fans that have gathered. Simply put, their passion is epic.
