
With the yet-to-be announced sequel on the way, famed Marvel movie producer Avi Arad is rumored to have acquired the rights to make a film adaptation of BioWare's epic RPG, Mass Effect, according to Variety's report.
Arad, who produced Iron Man, Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk, has reportedly negotiated with BioWare's parent company, Electronic Arts, to acquire the rights to translate Commander Shephard's saga into the big screen as confirmed by numerous sources. Currently, Arad's future projects include the following films: The First Avenger: Captain America in 2011, X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009, Doctor Strange in 2010 and much more.
Mass Effect is out now for the Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
