Aldous Huxley's dystopic novel Brave New World will finally get its first film treatment, and will star Leonardo DiCaprio, who is well-acquainted with Huxley's family, and Sir Ridley Scott, who will direct. The path to making the film was cleared when Huxley's will, long held up in court, was finally deciphered and all rights and such delineated.
For those of you who have not read the novel, and we can only imagine that there are very, very few of you who haven't, Brave New World is about a society of people complacent with drugs and entertainment, and one man who lives sort of off the grid that ends up being a lighthouse keeper. Sounds exciting, don't it? It is. You'll have to see it when it comes out.
