On tonight's episode of X-Play, lead designer for Portal, Kimberly Swift, confirmed that there will be a Portal 2. This is pretty much a given as Doug Lombardi, Valve's Director of Marketing, had previously stated that "more Portal is definitely on the way." However, until now we weren't sure if this would be in the form of a direct sequel or possibly downloadable content. Well, now we know. Check out the video for the confirmation.
This is a triumph. We're making a note here: Huge Success.

I can understand what you mean, but there's really absolutely nothing wrong with the "dork appeal". Most of these people probably loved the game enough to play through the entirety of it in a very short amount of time. Also, they love it enough to completely adore every aspect and shrivel of it instead of being any form of picky. No offense, but I think the best gamer is one who likes the game for what it is, and an enormous part of Portal's salient point is the dorky things that make little to no pragmatic sense. If you like nothing but puzzles, go find a unique RTS or something like that. Also, unfortunately, most of todays youth can't just sit and complete puzzle after puzzle without getting distracted and having to lock their attention onto something else, and honestly, I have no problem with that.
No offense meant at all.
By the way, the cake really was a lie!
