Hey, buddy, do you own a 360? Have you exprienced the dreaded Red Ring of Death? Want to know what causes it? Well, it turns out it could be one of about 40 million different things.
8bitjoystick.com seems to have interviewed an ex-insider from Microsoft who claims the Red Ring of Death could be caused by any number of reasons, most of which would have been caught and corrected if not for the rush to production the system went through when it initially launched. He goes on to say that the failure rate of 360's from launch is somewhere around 30%.
Of course, Microsoft has not released any such numbers on failure rate or on the exact cause of the RROD. What do you guys think? You think this is true or do you think the guy is bunk?
