AT&T bought out Bell South Corp. and part of the deal was that they had to introduce super-affordable DSL. They have done just this. You can now get DSL from AT&T for a mere $10 a month with speeds matching their lowest tier of service (768kbps down/128kbps up). The speeds aren't quite fast enough to host games on Xbox Live, but it's $10 broadband.
Sign up quickly because they are only bound to offer this for two and a half years under the agreement with the FCC. What a bunch of crooks. You can't hide from TheFeed, AT&T!
Click through for steps on how to see if you can get this deal.
Availability will depend on where you live, but these steps should help you find out:
1. Go to www.att.com and click on "Internet Services"
2. Enter your location information (zip code or phone number)
3. On the next page with all the DSL deals, scroll all the way down to the bottom right of the page and click on "View more current offers"
4. Select the "DSL at a Dial-up price" and enter more personal information to see if it's available in your area.
Wasn't that easy?
