The release of the Xbox 360 Elite is right around the corner!
We think the thing is rad (as the kids say), I mean, 120gig harddrive, HDMI port, and it's black...is there anything hipper than that?
It's not all love, though...GamePro a list of gripes about the Elite... in the interest of even time, their main points are re-posted below.
- The over abundance of 360 models is confusing to the consumer and unnecessary
- The word “Elite” conjures up images of high class and wealth and with the Xbox 360 Elite still being cheaper than the PS3, it doesn’t live up to its namesake
- It doesn’t support wireless networking
- People who already own 360s are getting screwed over royally
- It won’t run any quieter than the other versions of the Xbox 360
- It doesn’t come with an installed or USB connectable HD-DVD drive
- Using the color black for consoles is so last-gen
- The addition of HDMI and a larger hard drive won’t really benefit hard-core gamers
