Ladies and gents, TheFeed is launching a new web TV show called Freestyle 101 where top rappers pay us a visit to rhyme about the stuff you love: videogames, consoles, partying, MySpace, YouTube, love, life, da streets and so on. And it’s all coming right off the dome, with no preparation, nothing written down and no notes.
With each segment, you learn a little about the art of freestyling, what to do, what not to do and how it fits into hip hop history and rap music today.
The debut episode features Houston’s finest, Devin the Dude. You’ve heard him on Dr. Dre’s Chronic 2001 and alongside Jay-Z, De La Soul, Hi-Tek, Scarface, The Roots and more. His latest solo joint is appropriately titled Waiting To Inhale (Rap-A-Lot), and it’s another banger from this smokin’ MC. Devin was kind enough to swing by and drop this bangin’ freestyle for you guys over a dope Messiaz beat.
