Some member of the Alien vs. Predator 2 crew has stolen an alien suit from the set of the film, and is trying to sell it online to the highest bidder. Predictably, the effects department on the film is pretty pissed off, and are doing everything they can to recover it.
True story: Once upon a time, I worked on Waterworld. When they were reshooting the scene inside the whalefin (the fish that swallowed Costner, and he speared his way out), they used the shark from Jaws II as the fish. This impressed me mightily. So much so that I stole a little bit of the fish after it got blasted off.
What I didn't know is that they had to reattach the piece and blow it up again, because they didn't get all of the footage they needed. So, there was a claxon call all over the set to try and figure out who stole it. There was no end to embarassment when I had to run to my car and sheepishly grab the rubber and bring it back.
So, that dude should return the suit as soon as possible, because they're going to narrow it down soon enough. And that will be quite embarassing for him.
Trust me.
