If you thought you’d be able to learn everything about the combat tactics of Star Trek Online in just one video diary, would you mind explaining why part two of this video series is sitting just below this sentence? I mean, did you honestly think you’d be able to grasp the complexities and challenges of successfully engaging in space combat that easily? Think again, and then check out this new combat video:
Leftovers: Which Of Your Games Are Gathering Dust?

It's a couple days after Thanksgiving and I'm still not tired of leftovers. My friend Lance cooked a turkey that's just as tasty a few days later as it was on Thanksgiving night. But eating leftovers has gotten me thinking about leftover games, those titles that sit next to my console, sometimes for months, that I've never really gotten into.
Right now: LittleBigPlanet and Uncharted have literally been gathering dust next to my PS3 since they came out. For the 360, I haven't put in Too Human, and that's been out since the late 1970s. It's not that I think any of these games are bad, I'm just not compelled to put them into my system, for no reason I can explain. Either that, or I played a level or two and put them away, never to open their plastic box again.
What about you? Do you have any unplayed (or little-played) leftover games near your console?
I'd have to say Star Wars: Force Unleashed (ps3) and Metal Gear Solid 4. But the biggest dust collector in my collection has to be the Wii

There haven't been a ton of exclusives for the Xbox 360 this year, but even though they are few in number, they are mighty. It's hard to choose the most outstanding, but Adam Sessler lets you know which titles to pick up this holiday season including Forza Motorsport 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars, Ninja Blade and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
wow PS3 really has got this list beat

Composer Jesper Kyd has outdone himself with his soundtrack for Assassin's Creed II. The man behind the music of video games including Unreal Tournament III, multiple iterations of the Hitman series and of course, the award winning original Assassin's Creed, has crafted an exquisite score for the highly rated sequel. Fortunately for gamers and game music aficionados especially, Ubisoft has been kind enough to release a 35 song soundtrack album for Assassin's Creed II.
Jesper Kyd's music for ACII ranges from atmospheric to action-oriented themes. Jesper does phenomenally in his blending of old-world music themes with 21st compositional styles, creating pieces where orchestral music meets choir voices from antiquity with just the right application of an electric guitar line to keep it grounded in a modern mode. Check out the full-length sample of "Ezio's Family" we have for you here (courtesy of Ubisoft and Top Dollar PR) and hear for yourself why this is among the top downloaded individual songs from the album on iTunes.
The atmospheric pieces are gorgeous sounding and if you are a fan of listening to this style of game music, it makes for a pleasant background to your work or studies. For me, it's the up tempo and Mediterranean folk-inspired material that really shine here. Songs including "Venice Escape," "Flight Over Venice" and "Florence Escape" (both of the later songs are included here for your streaming pleasure) are extraordinary examples of Jesper's skills. He nails the mood and tone of the game's visuals so well, you can picture Ezio soaring over Italian cities in Da Vinci's flying machine or sneaking up behind his victim to execute a precision, um, well, execution.
Another testament to the quality of the compositions is selections from the Assassin's Creed II soundtrack debuted last week in Paris, as part of the Video Games Live concert tour. Here is hoping Tommy Tallarico keeps these in the set list when the tour comes back here.
So, who is this album for? Overall, the Assassin's Creed II soundtrack is a solid listen from start to finish, and fans of the game series that haven't already downloaded it from iTunes or Amazon need to set down their controller and go do so now. If, like me, you haven't logged any playtime with ACII yet (yes, I know, but cut a gamer some slack, there's a metric-ton of great games out right now!) you will still enjoy this for the sheer listening pleasure of it. From some of the talk I've seen on Twitter, there are plenty of you saying how vital Jesper's music is to the game play. Frankly, hearing gamers talk like this and listening to the music away from the game has only made me want to play it more.
Just bought this off of iTunes, and it's amazing! Uncharted 2's soundtrack and this are the best game music I've heard in quite some time. We NEED more music like this in future games.

You know what I did on Black Friday? Nothing. I drank beer. I played Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (which is awesome, by the way). I learned how to play spades (and I'm pretty good). But no doubt many G4 readers decided to brave the cold morning air for a chance at a deal. Were you one of those folks? If you decided to head into the Black Friday crowd, tell me about your best and worst experiences with the crowd and if you actually managed to score a deal. Friends, gather round.
It's story time.

Decided around 10pm on Thanksgiving would \"camp out\" at Best Buy, work a night shift and would be up anyways so why not? Get there about 15 mins later and the line is already around the back of the building. So the roomie and myself go sit in front of Old Navy until 3AM, chatting with this stand-up comic we met, and were able to procure some free copies of Lego Rock Band w/ some cheap but nice clothing purchases. Go home, set an alarm for 9 to get up early and take advantage of some...

X-Play's Holiday Buyer's Guide: The Best PlayStation 3 Games
The PS3 has really come into its own lately, and many of the exclusives this year pushed the hardware to its limits and really showed us what the console was capable of.
In the video below, Adam Sessler gives our picks for the Top 5 PS3 Games this holiday season including Killzone 2, InFamous, Demon's Souls, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
Working on beating \"Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, which means afterwards I will only need to beat Demon souls to complete this list. I'll probably play AC2 first though.

Welcome to Morning Hangover -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from our editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world.
What the hell do vegetarians eat on Thanksgiving? I asked MMO Report producer and actual vegetarian Patrick Roche-Sowa this very question, and he said: "Tofurkey is actually really tasty."
If you're lucky enough to have never heard of Tofurkey, let me hip you to its existence. It's a fake turkey made from tofu. And no, it is not "actually really tasty." I can say this confidently, without ever having eaten one. Want to hear the weird part? Patrick says he didn't even eat Tofurkey last night. Instead, he eschewed Thanksgiving feasting altogether and had a salad or something. Roche-Sowa is some kind of Communist.
Anyway, I'm going to burn off yesterday's Tryptophan with a rousing game of Assassin's Creed 2 now. What are you up to today?
TheFeed gang wants your thoughts on gaming, tech, zombie turduckens, and more. Let everyone know what you're thinking and chat it up with your fellow readers. Leave comments on anything and everything that's on your (gaming/tech/nerd) mind!
I have also tried the Tofu Turkey while visiting a friend of mine a few weeks before Thanksgiving. Mr. Stephen Johnson, you Sir, are 100% correct. It tastes like vomit. Not only that, but my poor, poor, friend had convinced himself it was \"tasty and good for you\". I told him it was \"Nasty and might try and kill you\". We then got drunk and discussed what our escape plan would be in case the Tofu Turkey did indeed try to kill one of us. Later, after we were no longer worried about the Tofu...

The more of this I see the more I want to facepalm. \n\nI'm not even a hardcore trekkie, I like the shows and movies that's about it. Even *I* can see the glaring lore errors and general WTF moments cryptic is doing.
