I have to admit - I HATE strategy games. With that being said, Valkyria and Halo Wars quickly turned that around because they're not as complicated as, say, Command & Conquer.
I'll flip a coin for those two alone.

I think inFAMOUS has got it in the bag. It what every superhero game before should have been and what every after should try to be like. Great story, tight controls, hell, there's nothing to hate about it.
