E3 2010: The Sims 3 (Console Edition) Preview

What We Already Know

The Sims 3
has been out for over a year, and the series is no stranger to the consoles either. But this marks the first time it will appear on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 (The Sims 2: Pets and The Sims 2: Castaway both appeared on the Wii). How does it look on the current-gen HD consoles? Find out below.

What We're Seeing Now

This is basically the console version of The Sims 3, adapted to work with a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard. This might be too crazy to think about, but THIS game should be Kinect compatible. The Sims' HUD allows you to control the whole game when you had a mouse, so why not use your hand instead?

Then again, it was always much faster to use the keyboard to do some things... That "floating hand to click" thing would probably piss me off.
