If you're a hardcore gamer, it's obvious to see that the system to get right now is the Xbox 360. PS3 doesn't have the games right now to compete with the Xbox 360's exclusive titles, and any games i feel worth getting for PS3 are coming out for Xbox 360 as well "Final Fantasy etc. etc." PS3 might be planning for the future, because it's obvious that their hardware is built to last, plus the Blu Ray disc is somewhat of a bonus, but for me it's only a bonus for HD movies, and you need a good HDTV regardless. Now.. Sony I think needs to step up their game, because if they're looking at the future, than they need better games to further support their hardware.
Xbox right now has much better games, and better games coming out, and has had better games in this recent year. I'm not a microsoft fanboy no.. i'm not really a big fan of microsoft at all, but Sony and Nintendo just have dissapointed me with their next gen consoles and games.

Sony definetly won the press conference. Im not going to lie microsoft did a good job but overall i think Sony won. Also why does Microsoft keep taking Sony's games. I mean they can't come up with their own franchises.

You talk crap 'wolfman8'... I've owned the three as well big dog, and all I find myself playing on the PS3 is Tekken: Dark Resurrection, I've Owned and worked in a video arcade, based on my customers and my personal views, the Xbox is the far more Superior console... The Wii in my country is dead, nobody likes that, but I still have one and it's fine by me..

Sony's P.C. was deffinately the best, i mean yeah gears of war and fable were great games but how do you walk into a press conference just to announce sequals? Sure sony showed some of their upcoming sequals like killzone 2, resistance 2, etc. but they also blew us away with infamous and MAG. Only those of us with a PS3 and PSN actually realise just how many exclusive games there are for the PS3 now and coming up. I for one download a new demo about every night, (sirens, lost planet, fatal inertia EX) Games the Xbox fans probably will never even know exsist because of the ease of just downloading them straight instead of running to the store.... (P.S. these arent the little games which you can buy with microsoft points they're actual good looking, not thrown together in a night games) Hats off to Sony way to storm E3

Yeah, 360 destroyed PS3 yet again. PS3 is getting better tho, slowly.

PS3 really only has Little Big Planet(it's so cute!!) and God of War 3 that I care about.
Resistance was very disappointing, and that's all ps3 had till mgs4 (maybe Resistance 2 will be better though). Mgs4 IS amazing, but it'll be on 360 in a year or so. I can wait. So then they had ff13, but now ff13 is on 360 too. And to FBlaze81, 360 didn't steal it from sony, square enix thought that since ps3 is sucking balls in North America and Europe it would be better for sales to make it on 360 too. Notice I didnt say Japan, ps3 is doing good their despite Nintendo's REIGN OF POWER!!

I think that like in tokyo game show or something square enix is going to give it back to sony when they announce their new ff7 game. That will def be ps3 exclusive(they need it)....then, I might finally buy a ps3.

And wtf??? 100+ games still going to ps2?? Take that effort to make 4 or 5 hit ps3 games, then we're talking business.

Ok for everyone saying the 360 is copying the ps3 think about it they are just trying to please and give gamers what they want a console that has every game and it so happens to be that people like ff 13 and so on now i think that every conference could have been loads better to much talking and numbers oh and for every one saying ps3 has more exclusive titles if you do research they have like 2-5 mgs4 isnt exclusive 360 just hasnt gotten the rights to it yet and they just got the ones to ff oh and GTA 4 wasnt copying the other GTA games were on the xbox so whatever every one is entitled to there opinions and this is mine

dam did you see the 360 press confrence.....much better than this....he talk too much.... and i want to see more game demos.... and you still talking about old games????? talk about something new and not download content for old games????? do you actuall play the same game for 2, 3 years and still love it so much....when i pass a game i passed it kindda forget about it cuz newer games are coming out???

i want gow 2,fable2,too human, leaft 4 dead, dead space, maybe fallout.... and i b lovin the exclusive netflix, universalstudios..... new interface..... and able to win prizes.....

Sony, Sony, Sony what are we gonna do with you. I am guessing that Sony thinks its fanbase is so dedicated that they are willing to allow themselves to be deprived of new content in the hopes that Sony's tattered sleeves are concealing something so grand that it just might justify buying a $500 dollar paperweight. I have to hand it to them, when they rise they rise fast and easy(Bluray, Ratchet and Clank, Wifi and Resistence) but when they fall they fall painfully and hard. When is home rearing its ugly head? E3 has probably never felt so lonely. Lets hope Sony knows what it's doing otherwise we will all have to learn how to recycle PS3s.

I have all 3 systems, but sony is losing some of its good exclusives. I got for the ps3 mainly for mgs4 and FF13,but now Ff13 is coming out for the 360, and yes FF13 is coming to the 360 just watch the microsoft conference. I still might get FF13 for the ps3 because I don't won't to wait like 4 months for it to come to the 360.

well I think PS3 lost at E3 '08, but it still didn't do too bad seeing as most the Games are multi-platform. The MOST saddest part of it all is that Sony can't keep, nor, understand the word exclusive. Also, there are some pretty good games for 360 coming out it's a shame I would never buy one for the reason I can't stand greedy people especially when microsoft already has all the money it needs and more to make online free and the accessories you have to buy. Sony is doing a good job keep up without buying out exculsives and charging their faithful customers.

So while there are Pros and cons here I think I still give my vote too PS3 overall. It's nice to make money, but not at the cost of leaving the poor, poorer. Especially after The RROD's. by the way the number droped from 33% to 17% of RROD's still another example of why I won't buy a 360 the knew it was going to brake down and they still sold it and again guess who paid the price. Microsoft and US, but whose got the bigger wallet?!

Adam seemed pissed, he just shot every thing down he thinks MAG ' would be kinda cool' what kinda cool, wtf? the game would make new grounds for the xbox 360 to catch up, he just hates ps3, anyone else agree, i mean he likes mgs4 and little big planet, but come on sess give the ps3 a chane. Speaking of people who hate ps3 Morgan Webb hates ps3 and {LBP} little big planet, i think it was on day 2 or 3 but she's [giving up hope] to quote her when playing the demo of lbp, adam should of review it, i mean he likes it doesn't he. morgan and adam and G4 please be more fair to PS3 and i grantee you we wuold be very happy

I think Sony had the best press conference. Think about it. They showed a game and gave statistics at the same time. Little Big Planet will be so sweet and so will God of War 3. I'm not a big fan of shooters or horror stuff but I'm probably will get Resistance 2 and Killzone 2. And most people that work at G4 are Microsoft bias. They just ignore PS3 and Wii and being an owner of both thats just unfair. When I thought about buying a next gen system I did a lot of research and I found PS3 to be the best. Then I got a Wii I could get some of there awesome exclusive games and both have free online. My PSN ID is RTBronx but I only have GTA 4 because I want to save my money for Soul Calibar IV, Little Big Planet, Rock Band 2, God of War 3, Resistance 2, and Killzone 2.
P.S PS3 is the best and Microsoft likes bribing and stealing

One more thing. Microsoft acted like everything they showed was exclusive. They only showed like 2 or 3 exclusive games. And they used the Rock Band 2 timed exclusive to thier advantage. Microsoft stop acting like your the best. When Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft combine then it will be the best. Call it the PSWii60.

in response to druid88 they probably cut out a lot of the video cus it was already long enough to tell story and get the point accross and only means that xbox still didnt have a chance on with holding this games capacity and Vince23 that "Ultra HD will more than likely not be coming out any time soon with regular HD just out and blu-ray just winning the HD battle im counting on my PS3 as a console for at least the next 6-8 years

all i know is that going into this conference, i was a microsoft guy. coming out, i am now a total sony fan.
they have a good selection of exclusives AND alot of good 360 games are also available for ps3. bioshock's coming out soon for ps3 w extra content!!
bottom line, between free online, blu-ray, better hardware, the whole 10-year guarantee thing (which is great because i know i wont have to drop another couple hundred bucks in two years just to get a new system *cough cough microsoft*), resisitance 2 (which looks badASS), and others, sony won E3 2008. period.
oh and not to mention i didnt even know ps3 had oblivion GOTY and the orange box. i know those arent new games, but i still cant wait to get my hands on them. now, if i could just find a job...

AND they dropped the price on the console again, AND theyve got mercs 2 on the way, AND god of war 3 and theyve still got gTA 4, i think sonys got much mor to offer then 360 personally

Fellow Sony lovers (and haters), Microsoft is the s__t, as is Nintendo. We all use Windows (even the mac geeks could'nt live w/out it), and we all [should] agree Nintendo saved gaming in the 80's and to this day does excellent things for gaming.
Sony's focus is on every aspect of entertainment,which is why I chose the PS3 80g sys. The G4 anouncers need to get over themselves...
Movies, channels, MAG (that s___ looks off the hook), and just plain power!
If you heard the developers, they still have'nt harnessed the capibility and that is why the games may come up short (yet far superior).
Got no prob w/ 360, only its users...whats the problem with you? Daddy wouldnt let you have the big one?
Long story short- Can't run Windows w/ out my VAIO, and can't play WII without the Bravia.
Sony's the wise choice, they have every element covered.

I rarely post here on G4, but after reading all of these rumors of MGS4 coming to the 360, I began to ponder...
(And before I begin, I must let you know that I own both the PS3 and Xbox 360, and am in no shape or form a 'fanboy' of either like some G4TV hosts)

Where are these Xbox 360 biggots and fanboys (and that's not to say that the PS3 doesn't have their fair share, but back to the subject at hand...) getting their info on the MGS4 360 adaptation. I would really like to see some sort of citation as to where Konami and Kojima or anyone involved in the MGS4:GotP project stated that the game would be coming to the 360. "It'll be on 360 in a year or so", says Druid_Berserker. Where did you hear that? On this wonderful 'series of tubes' (Ted 'Its gonna get delayed' Kennedy [what a hack])???
Rumors run amok here on the internet. Please, someone set the facts straight.

I was really disappointed about not planning to drop the PS3 price this year because if it was a lot less than 400 or 350 or 300 then a lot of us could buy the 80 or 40 GB and be happy kinda thing. They would sell more and many can stop dreaming and get a PS3 NOW! If next year they drop to a price I can afford I'll buy it especially for the 80 GB. Don't you agree on my opinion of their plans to not reduce the PS3 price? (TOO Expensive!)

First off, way too many of the same topics are being argued here, exclusives being put on both systems, who has more (it's Sony by the way, if you 360 fan boys can't even look that up then just please don't speak).
Yeah Sony had a rough start but now it is picking up speed and the it really is a lot cheaper when you factor in everything the PS3 has that the 360 doesn't (Wifi, blu-ray and free online services). So Sony fans dont worry, we've got three successful systems on the market right now as opposed to xbox's one playstation is doing just fine let the fanboys talk their sh&*, for it will hit the fan soon.

Do us all a favor Galvan and use better grammar! That killed me to read your post. Use spell check...and grammar check. They help a lot I mean really man? Half of the words that you typed up aren't spelled right, I mean it man if your going to post, please for the love of all that is Sony and holy PLEASE, use spell check... Your post probably killed like 24 kittens or something, I hope you feel shame boy...SHAME! Oh, and just to throw this out there. Devil May Cry is purely a Playstation title, when it moved to the xbox, it messed up the controls something fierce, thats why it was such a big deal cbass.
