Anyways, 12 hours is about how long Fable 1 was.

Mac11s, it has nothing to do with the cd itself, considering Oblivion was over 100 hours long and Fallout3 will have something similar. Its the choice of the developer and the work they put into a game to decide how many hours it will be. Considering thats just the main storyline, i'm sure everything else such as pubgames, co-op play, leveling up, having fun, and other side missions, it would easily come out to be atleast 40 hours of gameplay.

The game ISN'T linear, but if you take it in that direction (not sure why you would), it is a 12 hour game. But if you actually play the game, it will be much longer.

Sad to think that this "12 hour" game will still be ranked higher than all but 1 PS3 exclusive. Enjoy your exclusive games... i mean game ranked in the 90%'s.

lol sure it will take a lot longer exploring and Co-oping with friends, nearly had an excitement attack watching the video. Can' wait for it though may buy it on the PC.....still doesn't feel right paying for some thing I've already paid for.

the story is short but to completely beat the game you need to buy all the shops, buildings, houses, etc. not to mention the spells and weapons.

Many games can be completed fast if all you do is run through it.

If you're reading the story above as "You'll get everything in the game done in 12 hours." You're reading it wrong. You'll have just gone through everything that takes you on the most direct path through the game and missed out on all the side stuff and extras the game has to offer.

some people made a good point fable 2 is not linear, they said the main plots 12 hours, honestly you can beat oblivion in like 10 hours pretty ealisly. there trying not to lie like the first one and say it is like a week long game cause it was not.

well oblivion has more depth to their magic system and experience system and is a lot larger than fable, And the side quests aren't enough to keep some people playing because some people dont care about side quests.Also the people in oblivion talk more than the fable people because the fable people just say one word. I got the first fable despite the short story but fable 2 is new gen and i expect more.

the shortest game i ever played was gauntlet seven sorrows 1 hour and 8 min the firt time thriogh beating everything. Why are people complaining about 10houre for just the main quest?

12hours is the time of the main quest not the game.Like Peter said u can go through the game with the best skill and the crappiest weapons.So its up to you whether you want it to be a short or long game.

will you guys stop bickering the bottom line is fable 2 has a lot of potential and its worthy of buying. 12 hours of the story line is not bad fable's got a good rep for side quests and i don't believe it will be a waste to get plus there is a good chance for downloadable content that will help the story line's length. if it really is short it doesn't matter the choices you make in the game will make you want to play it again and chose a different path. there ownage! lol
