What were you like as a kid?
I was pretty much the same as I am now... I know that seems weird to
say, but I feel like the same person, just with more life lessons, knowl-
edge and experience. Maybe it's because I can remember most of my
childhood…back to around age 3. I remember being very present in
situations... and always wanting to speak for myself... my mom used
to call me stubborn, but that's because I would never do something
just because an "adult" told me to. I would always, always question
authority and ask why. I never thought it was right that just because
someone was older they could tell me what to do. I wanted to hear
reason and explanations. I was also the clown in the family. My first
stepfather was a horrible person, so we spent a lot of our childhood
being afraid... so I would find ways to make my brothers and sisters
laugh (there were five of us total)... I would impersonate teachers at
school or act out scenes from a movie but always with some weird
take on it... "Ms. Phillips" was my 4th grade teacher... she had this
fabulous beehive hairdo, terrible buckteeth and an insatiable love
for the color purple... not the book... the actual color purple. She
became my first character.... now, when all the kids get together,
it's not even an hour before "Ms. Phillips" makes an appearance.
Where are you from?
Born in Oklahoma City... but because
of the air force, I was basically raised
in Tokyo, Japan on Yokota Air Force
Base.
How'd you end up on
attack of the show?
I auditioned first for AOTS, and then for Formula D, then I
did a screen test on set with Kevin for AOTS... we basically
did an audition of what you see at the beginning of every
show. I was in Hawaii shooting when my agent called and
told me I got the job. to be honest, I couldn't remember what
the job was because it had been at least a month since my
last audition for G4.... I called my brother and cousins
right away to see what they thought of G4 and their
response? "Oohmmygodthatissocoolilovethatchannel
icantbelieveyouredoingthatdoigettogotoe3?!" so I took
the job and I am so thankful everyday that I did.
If there were a dance called "The Olivia"
how would you do it?
Lips pursed, hands in fist, left leg out, then right leg out,
look over right shoulder, look over left, half circles each
direction... and always, always a pelvic thrust.
What wouldn't you do for a laugh?
Directly insult someone to their face without them being
in
on the joke, and getting naked.
Seriously, can you surf?
Yes. I'm nowhere near professional. But
I can. I surf on a 7'4" board... which is
technically a longboard. I can paddle out
and sit on a shortboard, but I haven't
been able to get up on a wave yet. I just
got a place in Santa Monica, so I'll be
out there a lot more... I plan to spend
more time out in the water... and hope-
fully getup on a shortboard.
What's the funniest thing
Kevin's ever done?
Kevin says some of the funniest things every day... one
thing, I think I can't say. Actually, I'll ask him if I can put it
in this Q and A. If he says, yes, I'll come back and tell the
story... but, Kevin and I like to do "fake phone calls" we
pretend that we're calling people or each other and just
talk. I don't know why it's so funny to me, but it is. We find
it brilliant.
How will you get your revenge?
By getting to a point where I no longer want
revenge. The feeling of hate and revenge is so
powerful and devastating... I actually have a hard
time letting go when I've been wronged, and I've
found that it just eats away at me and before I
know it, I've spent months, even years, angry... I'm
working on letting things go easier... but, it's hard.
Thing about you that you'd only
notice in HD?
Probably cellulite... everywhere…in my eyeballs.
