AVADirect Gaming PC Review

This affordable gaming rig has a ton of storage, power, memory, and a sweet GTX Plus video card for all your middle income gaming needs at $1835 to start.

What You Need to Know

  • From AVADirect.com
  • 1 Terabyte of storage
  • 6 Gigs of  RAM
  • The case seems more practical than most gaming PCs
  •  Has a sleek and stylish feel
  •  Price seems almost right as the performance was a bit lacking
  •  Interior workings make is surprisingly easy to update or add cards
  • Hard drives might be tough to update because they're mounted facing in
  • Scored lower than expected on our Mark Vantage tests
  • 2 DVD Burners is useful
  • Overall, we wanted more performance out of a "gaming" PC

Price

  •  $1835

We would like to clarify some things about this review. The reason for a 1TB drive and dual opticals is because most of our gaming customers request these additions. Gamers choose a gaming computer system not only for gaming, but also desktop applications, ripping/burning dvds, and various other activities that consoles just cannot do.

I think for the price and performance that our system offered, I think we did pretty good here.

Let us know what you think.

Ok sorry to be a downer on you guys/girls at AVADirect... But the review was somewhat off... The alienware scored a massive 22k not 12k... rewatch the review for the alienware... Most of us gamers do buy for both gaming and desktop normalities, me myself I really appreciate the dual opticals and the 6Gb memory since I usually do a lot of video/dvd editing/creation.

The beefed up rig we had from Alienware on Monday scored 22k, but as Chris said, "the base configuration" of that same Alienware scores 12k, which is around teh same price range ($1650)

I'm glad you're paying attention though!

Please go check out some of the current threads on hardforum.com and resellerratings about these guys... Lots of shady stuff coming to light... Multiple company names... Multiple instances of review bribery/coercion... At least one review fabrication... Stay away from these guys ....

I have the 900 vertion of that case and its goodfor gamers that can't afford the the 1200 shown in the video. And for your information any self respecting gamer (espechaly if you build your own rigs) would proudly display there pc on TOP of there desk for the world to see.

Well good news... As of today I can happily post that AVA and I have resolved our dispute to my satisfaction. I cant discuss the terms other than to say I cant discuss the terms. :) This will be my last post of any kinda about AVA.
