We saw what happens when you combine puppets with coffee on today's Around The Net, but what happens when you put robots together with your favorite cup of Joe?

Why, you get this video of an adorable robot making a fresh cup of coffee, complete with freshly ground beans.

Sure, that's great and all, but next thing you know, this robot is going to become self-aware, turn rogue and try to kill you in your sleep. Isn't that how the big nuclear holocaust in Terminator started?

Those Japanese people sure work fast. In less than two weeks, Sunrise Studios have finished putting together the giant life-size statue of Mobile Suit Gundam to celebrate the famed anime series' 30th anniversary. Has it really been 30 years? Time flies by so fast when you're watching animated robots duke it out on your tv screens.

According to Kotaku, the statue will also feature lights, mist and a moveable head when the area finally opens to the public in July. For now, though, if you're planning on visiting the site, you'll have to settle for a staring contest with an immobile but still pretty inimidating robot. (PS. The robot always wins.)

Your meccha fantasies are coming true! Sunrise Studios announced earlier this year that they were building a life-size Gundam statue in Tokyo to celebrate the famed anime series' 30th anniversary. Last week, they released photos of the process, which you can check out here.

The lower half of Gundam's body, which measures about 11 meters high, has already been constructed. After other parts of the character's body are finished, including the head, arms and torso, they will all be assembled.

Gundam will be on display from July 11th to August 31st, so if you're planning on invading Japan with a giant robot of your own, you might want to wait until September.
