Ok...ummm...thanks for the "apology" but...if the legal junk was not sorted out yet...why on earth would you pump it up so much on a date you were not even sure of? I was really disappointed in G4 today...you better be certain that this news is worth it...very upset at the so called "promise".

You guys fail at being a legitimate broadcast channel. If this was the only instance of failure, I'd be somewhat forgiving, but you're losing a viewer because of this "goof".

it was fun guessing at it, and while I'm on that subject, my newest fathom of a guess would be that G4 is forming a most righteous religion that is at the same time a rock band. So that we may cleanse the world annoying gaming nerds that cry. :( :( :( Yet at the same time, we will rock out with our proverbial "male chickens" out.

that or they're creating a MMO based on G4's shows and hosts! That's why the legal kinks are getting worked out! So awesome!

One can only hope that the announcement has something to do with bringing back 'The Screen Savers' from the days when TechTv catered to a more mature audience and was less intersted in wrestling and ninjas. Since Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton were ousted along with all the other outstanding programming it would be too much to hope for that Comcast has seen the error of their ways...hope springs eternal.

My guess ... and um seriously it's just that. G4tv Canada and G4 will be merged programming wise. Call for Help and other shows will be worked into the mix. Though the hint Olivia gave about "Everyone in America would love it" on Wednesdays show hints at possibly moving down to a basic cable/satellite channel such as ESPN instead of the Digital or SuperPak Channel options as before. Or perhaps simple a move to air the show on tv and the internet simutaneously live. Hmmm one of these 3 is correct. KP

well it has to be something to deal with microsoft. think about it. the announcement of halo3 went into OVER-HYPE mode. the announcement of something for G4TV also went into over-hype mode.

and both failed to deliver on their over-hyped announcements. just hope when they finally announce it, we are not saying the samething "that was it?".

probably be internet streaming. since m$ is doing internet TV now. well beta.. hint hint

but that would be good that teamed up with g4tv canada.

At first I thought "how convenient, they get us excited and now we are even more anxious", but now I think - and I don't know why I think this - but I think they legitimately wanted to tell us some good news and really did have to hold off. I really would hope that the hosts of AOTS are the types of people that are honest with their fans and don't do shady marketing tactics. I always looked to G4 for the fact that you guys seem honest and present to your fans in the most honest fashion. No worries about the blooper, just promise to stay honest with us.

Kinda funny, I made it a point to catch the 11pm replay just to see what this announcement was, even holding off on more Halo 3 to see it...

Somebody said before that they should have announced it at the beginning of the show...but I'm pretty sure they did mention it in the beginning...anyway, I like the 1080i idea too. Olivia and Layla in 1080i sound like a great thing to come home to...

i think its about the halo movie. M$ went to them and told them that they started filming and they wanted them to tell us because they are the only gamer channel. thats the only thing that will get me excited right now. i am a little upset but i want to know soon like this week soon. it seems that in the gaming scene, we are always waiting for good news that takes forever. i know stuff happens but i hope they know that now the fan's are more into this then before. they do care about the fan's, thats what g4 is built for. if this is all about rating's then i am never going to watch this channel not because of the announcement but because thats not right to the fans.

My guess is something like that, but not simultaneous broadcasts, and more like the podcast clips. In other words, being able to download the full episodes instead of just clips for free.
