finnaly somebody is doing something the rings of death. i have sent mine in 3 times already.

I haven't had to many problems with the red ring of death. My 360 has only overheated once. After the overheat, I got an external fan for it, and haven't had any problems since.

Hell, I've had the Red Screen of death on my XP more than the Red Ring of Death... (I fear my death soon, all of these rings and screens!)

I'm on my 6th Xbox 360 and only one had the RROD. All the others had disc read errors.

I thought it was hilarious so don't get me wrong, but the red ring of death makeup is wrong. I thought that the video had been mirrored at first, but upon seeing the stills it seems it wasn't. I'm sure you're aware that the upper-right quadrant shouldn't be lit.

I'm so f***n pissed off at microsoft right now. I've had the XBOX 360 since launch. It was good up to now about 2 weeks ago I got the RROD. I didn't know what the hell it was. I've experinced it b4 but it was just the A/V fell out. So i called microsoft cuz i couldn't even turn it on. They walked me through the same old bulls**t. unplug the HDD, try a different game, mabey it your A/V cords. So they told me to take it up to EBgames and have them test it using there equipment including the power cord so I did still same issue. So i called them back the next day and other rep. tried walking me though the same process I told him I him I just called yesterday and other rep. told me the same s**t then he tells me the RROD is very rare. So they sent a box i mailed it in now i'm without my 360 for weeks f***n bastards.

I have experienced the Red Ring of Death THREE times!!! My first 360 fried while playing Oblivion, it was replaced by a new one. It fried again. It was again replaced by a new one after three weeks waiting. So I purchased two 360 Elites.. I sold the one that got from MS, and the guy I sold it to, said, while playing Gears of War, it fried. BTW, what's with you guys. I voted on your poll for "Have you experienced the Red Ring of Death" When I voted it said 58% said YES, and 42 said No, but Olivia said, it was 39% said YES and 61 said NO.. What's UP????? Is the show live? Is MS telling you to lie!!?!?

Be sure to view the full report. Regarding the Red of Death.. I'm seeing that the PS3 is a superior system not just in graphics, not just in sound, but as Hardware. Ask the question how many PS3 users have had their PS3 die??? PS2 lasted for YEARS (at least the original). These are the same ppl.

hmmmmmm....., here's a question, how come on the today's loop when they were discussing the red ring of death, how come they they didn't talk about the "Towel Trick"? It's just a question, since they talked about the rrod(an abreviation of the red rings of death) and the "Towel Trick" is one way to fix the rrod, and i'm pretty sure aots knows about the "Towel Trick" since my friend told they did it on the show. Anyway, G4 claims it's or aots is about all the stuff you care about, and fixing the rrod is of the many things 360 owners and some gamers care about. P.S: G4's gay:. and for the people who got the rrod, just look up the "Towel Trick" on youtube.

I had the red ring of death during Dead Rising. I was pissed, I wanted to take an axe after mine. But I dealt with the Microsoft "consultant" and got a pro in it's place.

Amidst an enthralling game of "murder the city guard" on oblivion, I had a knock on the door. I went to investigate, but to no avail. It was then I came upon this gruesome scene of my beloved x-box 360 console......MURDERED! I screamed towards the heavens, and cursed at the horrible red lights. Errr......then i called customer service and made them get it repaired. The End?

That ended horribly. Oh well. Great video. I loved the phone cord strangling. It really upped those production values in my mind! Besides having to send my console in twice I still stand by the 360 as being the best Next-Gen console with clearly the best Online Enabled games and best Software. It is unfortunate that the Hardware is having problems, but everything else the console does more than makes up for it.

I was watching AOTS when they did the review on the LOOP for the three red rings. It is a wrong statement when you say that the XBOX only does the red rings while playing till over heating. I got my three red lights while turning it on for the first time in three days. I have since sent it back. So three red lights can also come when you system has been ideal and from switch from standard tv's to HD tv's. Have a great day and Happy Timmie Hunting.

hey i dono if this is the truth but if u have had the "ring of death" u may have noticed that your disk has a large circular ring scratched into it. what i think may be cousing it is the lense that reads the disk may have been somehow fulty and when it scratched agenst the disk put scratchis on the lense making it impossable to read the disk and when ur xbox returns you will have noticed a new disk drive. just a guess.

what do you mean ps3 is better than 360? 360-cheaper,better games
does ps3 have oblivion, crackdown, gears of war, or halo 3? i dont think so. friggin sony fanboys are so gay. just cuz ur rich and u buy a ps3 to show off doesnt mean its better than the other systems.
ps3 does have some better stuff i guess but it requires HD for most of the games. if not all. no rumble feature.
way too much for such a flawed system.

I just had the red ring of death last night due to an "unknown error." Weird. It happened every time I turned it off. It was probably overheating with the dust build-up and such. Great song though!
