I dunno if it's a "buy it". I mean, rnt all pet games (i.e. Sims Unleashed, Petz, Dog's Life, even Neopets!) essentially the same?

Sure, they're fun 4 those un42n8 enuff not 2 hav ne pets, but even then, it's only fun 4 a lil while...

It's cute tho, I'll give it that.

oh yes. Psp is so much better. How are the loading times, guys? How's it feel to be blood thirsty americans only looking for violence and pain? If all you want is pain and anguish and things to scare you, jump off of things, (i.e bridges, houses, hell even skyscrapers).
Anyway I'm going to buy Nintendogs. Because it's another fun way to use my DS, just like Kirby: Canvas Curse. I think this game will have a fair longevitity depending on what kind of person you are, and what you consider entertaining. Thank You Kevin for reviewing this game, I wanted to know if it was good, and your review sure helped me. Thank you, and great job on the show, it's really rad.

Nice one quiet. The PSP seems like a waste of 250 bucks. The games pretty much suck (excluding lumines) and all the extra memory for stinking memory sticks, videos you already own cost money. Bottom line, if you really wanted a handheld playstation, then you were mistaken. Look at the linup for the DS this year. *burn*

Wilks - Because the setup for the segment is that Kevin gives us his opinion after playing the game for 50 minutes (rather than through to completion). Basically, it's a quick assessment of graphics, gameplay - is it engaging enough in that relatively short span of time to suck you in and make you want to play more and thereby warrant a purchase?

and honestly ds suxs........ ive had both and ds doesnt compare to the psp, not even close, to me the touchpad is just a gimmick i dont want to play metroid prime with a touch pad, ( useless junk! ) ds doesnt have even a quarter the capabilties psp has let alone the touchpad big deal, but it cant download music, movies and play online games wirelessly over the internet ds doesnt even compare thats all there is too it......

i played nintendogs in EB for 3 minutes. It was extremely entertaining for almost the whole 3 minutes! Then I went and bought a real game and was therefore entertained for hours upon hours, which (actually) is longer than 3 minutes.

omg, psp r a WASTE OF MONEY sure if they come down in price it would be cool but its not worth it. i had to choose between a DS and PSP a while back (well it wasnt hard) and since i had a tight budget im not goin to spend 250 bucks on something im going to use only for the reason when i cant use my computer or ps2 or xbox or gcube(well i really dont care about that last one) so y would i throw 250 bucks out the window for a cheap laugh or a just a lil fun every once ina a while. Oh, and btw all the PSP's games basicaly r already on the PS2 which i dont get they should get some originality besides just sequels, unlike this game which hasnt really been done before (emphasis on really)

so far for my DS i only have super mario 64 DS just cause i havent beeten it yet or yet to have all the minigames unlocked, whch r very fun. well im off to school be back during or after...

well the thing about the PSP being able to have music is a big waste fo money, if your an american, and you don't have some sort of MP3 player by now, WOW!!! atleast DS has innovation, and you can multiple people playing a game on only one cartidge. the touch screen is innovative, a new, somethign never seen on a console, handheld or no. anyways there wouldn't be a PSP if it weren't for nintendo. and i hope you PSP fans like getting your screen cracked while you ahve it in your bag. graphics are nice, good games are better.

omg so many flamers...
the main bottom line is that altho the PSP has some extra abilities...msuic, movies, games, and online stuff...it doens't mean it's more superior...also the DS i think right now is a lot more fun than the PSP...and altho i dun own a DS (i played it at my cousins) i do own a PSP...and yes i love the PSP and i prefer it...BUT both handheld consoles have thier strengths and weaknesses like for example:

PSP:
Load times
less games

DS:
graphics aren't that great
(i can't think of a second one)

anywayz there's also the advantages

PSP:
play games
play movies
play music
go online (play online)
wireless Wi-Fi
put games on the memory stick
analog stick (not really that innovated)
ps2 like graphics
uses UMB = more game capacity (longer the game)

DS:
Play games
multiple ppl on one cartridge
more games

yeah plenty of my friend own a PSP, and they only play ridgeracer and lumines. but then they play mario 64x4 and are reminded of how fun the mario 64 was back in the 90's, and they also play meteos, and just some cool gameboy games. i think the ds is a bargain because you essentially get two systems for the price of one, you can GBA games as well as ds games, and a big reason i got the ds was so i could play all of my GBA games, considering my GBA got lost at school. and i jsut the Sp too, brand new, oh well never gonna brign my ds to school. i like the psp, i just like the ds better.

I have a DS and PSP. Ill admitt the PSPs titles as of now do suck, but DS's titles suck even more. There all rehashes and ports, just like all nintendos games. And I dont mind waiting for a little loading time. Loading means lots of good graphics, so yeah, I wont be an impatient persona and wiat. All of PSPs cons are either false, or over exadurated. DS has 27 more cons that PSP. And if the reason you got a DS to get GBA games, then you should of bough a PSP. Seeings how it can do movies, music, photos, internet, wireless play, IMing (soon), games, microphones, basiclly everything that the DS has sept touch screen, and thats good because I hate the touch screen. And it can emulate every system up to a PSX, (including GBA, yes thats right, hundreds and thousands of free GBA games) go with the PSP, because right now seeings how theres no games on the DS, its collecting dust, but theres no games for PSP but I can do other stuff with it.

oh, and if you dont like it because of memory issues dont worry. You dont need a 1GB stick, a 256 or 516 works GREAT! When you put a movie on you have to convert it to PSP format, which cuts the MBs down by hundreds. For example 690MBs=120MBs. YOU DONT NEED A 1GB! a 256 cost 40 bucks. and 516 cost 60. There not expensive at all. And no im not buying nintendogs, because Im not 5 years old. quote from morgan webb. "If you want a system with good games other then the occasinall mini-game buy a PSP"

ooo all psp fans.First of all,psp only has one good game!LUMINES.Now all the games suck like halo ripper offer coded arms.It is extremely expensive and while has multi media functions,it doesnt focus on gaming.The ds does.Mario kart ds looks amazing,Nintendogs is the most addictive game ive played(it even drove me into buying a dog)(yes i love my dog),and animal crossing is goina be awsome.You guys are buying shitty quality umds when you can buy a dvd player for 30$ and buy a good dvd.Buy a ds

i have a psp and i dont have to buy games for it i just download whole psp games on my 512, i also have a snes, gbc, nes, and sega genisis on my psp. Soon you will be able to play ps1 games on there and eventually n64 games. And mario64 on psp looks aloooooooot better than mario64 on ds.

psp=$199.99 at brandsmart+512mb$60=infinite downloads and fun

ds you have to by games for $50 and they are mostly 2-d gutter thrash.

bottom line n64 and ps1 and snes on psp will KIIILLL ds

Why am I the only one that thinks that the PSP is a piece of crap. Call me stupid but I would like to play a game that doesn't take a F&*@ day to load. Look the fact is that while DS may make crapy games right off the back(lets also include NINTENDOGS in the mix of crapy games)we will get to play great games like the new Super Mario Bros, Age Of Empires III,and Trauma Center.

i had a psp and sold it, it was useless. people are trying to make out that these graphics are new when you could watch television on your game boy advance with the tv tuner and you could by films on carts for it. I went on to buy a ds becus i want to play games and not make a fashion statement. ds has loads of exclusive titles. AND YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE 2 PLAY MARIO ON A PSP, BOW DOWN 2 SHIGSHY U WANKA. i just got a psp and nintendo ds for my birthday and tryed to see which one is better by far i see you can download music videos and other things with it but you need a cable to do this. ds however you can play with people all over the world without cords and they are coming out with a new wireless site called nintendo wifi and in about a month or two theyll put music downloads and videos onto it for downloading pleasure. also two kids got into much more trouble during school when they were caught with their psps they got expelled for 10 days. ive been caught with my ds and they just told me to put it away.
